Hi

I know this is too late for this post but I was searching for the answer and this still came up - now I know how to do it I thought I would let everyone else know !

The cable or jack that comes with the speakers is not for the TV - you need to et one that has this jack on one end and a red and white split on the other end. Make sure you plug these into audio out on the TV.

How to hook up the antenna

If you are not using cable or Sat. TV, you need a DIGITAL outdoor antenna, preferably outdoors for better reception. Forget the garbage indoor window or set top systems as they will not pull in a good signal, unless you are near the TV Stations transmitters. Cosco or WalMart has TV Outdoor systems.

As suggested by FCC, I moved the antenna to the other side of the TV, facing south, where the transmission tower is, but the picture and sound are still breaking up. Do I need to move the antenna closer...

Is the antenna suitable for digital TV signals?
The TV signal is weak, if the antenna is an un-powered device then I suggest you get a powered antenna, this will amplify the signal.
Moving the antenna closer to the window will help.

Sound goes out and comes back on

If this is a pair of wireless speakers hit the button in the back of the speakers to change the channel. if it is the speakers inside the set, it could be a loose solder connection that heats up after a while and then the solder seperates preventing sound. this same issue could happen to the final amp in the tv, when they get bad they will heat up and stop working. All requiring a tech to troubleshoot the problem.

Mitsubishi vs-50603 does'nt get regular antenna chanels.

Indoor antennas have very limited capabilities especially in areas with elevation changes and heavy tree cover. Ideally, you should put an outdoor antenna on your roof or the highest elevation you can find with a relatively short distance to the TV. Make sure it has a good UHF section as this is where all digital broadcasts will be sent by the broadcasters as the digital transition occurs. You might try an amplified indoor antenna for better results than what you have now, but its no substitute for an outdoor antenna.

How do i change my tv from analog digital

You will need to buy a digital converter box (around $60.00 at any radio shack or wall mart) If you have cable or sat you will not need a converter! You only need one if you will be running your own indoor or outdoor antenna!
