Question about Palm Treo 700p Smartphone
Finally found this solution! It is a connection issue at the bottom of
the phone where you would plug in the cable to hotsync your phone.
Put in your hotsync cable and wiggle it around really good and it will fix the issue. Do this with the battery out and then pop it in until you have fixed the issue. Took me a few tries as I was worried about how hard to do it, but no problem!

Take the battery out, wait 5 seconds, replace it. If this doesn't help, then send it in. What you are seeing is the bootloader screen. It might come up if the cable is plugged in during reset. though the sync button is supposed to be involved. It's possible there is a short in the sync connector.
