Water pooling at bottom, bad smell, and now doesnt appear to work

I get a pool of water at bottom of dishwasher. Water never dries and is above the mesh filter. I have already cleaned the mesh filter. The washer appears to not be filling up with water as detergent is dried up in block. is there anything i can check before having a repairman come out?

My guess is the diverter solenoid which either pumps water to the arms or drains the unit.  It is attached to the waste line on the bottom of the tup.  It can often be disassembled and cleaned.  If not, it must be replaced.

The water has turned green despite the fact that we have been vacumning the pool every day. There is lots of algae on the bottom. It appears like the algae is not being killed by the salt water system. ...

How long are you running the system?? What is you chlorine level???.. To immediately bring your pool to the correct chlorine level, you either must up your cycle time, or shock your pool...I have a 18X33X48 pool..14,500 gallon pool and I run my system for 12 hrs and 10 hrs chlorinate and my water is crystal clear.. My chlorine level is in the 3 to 4 ppm.. If it climbs above 4, I lower the cycle time...After you shock or up your level, vacuum again to remove all the dead algae.. If you live in an area that is hot , you will need to run longer cycles.. Right now temps are ranging from 95 to 111.. yes, very hot... I hope this helps you and good luck...

I have an 18" round

Get a pool brush and brush your pool daily with it. Make sure your Chlorine level is at least 5 (I would like to see it at 10). Add dry chlorine to yor ool if you have to to get it to this level.

Alternatively, brush the sides and bottom daily with a hand brush. Keep the filter tunning until the algae is gone.

My ge dishwasher will drain but after a few hours

Could be a crack in the tub, bad seal at the pump if water is leaking out onto the floor. If water is pooling inside the DW then a bad water control valve allowing water to leak back into the tub from the source.
