You have a corrupt NTFS file system
Download "Hirens Boot CD" burn to disk and boot from it use the programs on it to check and repair MBR etc.
Then try one of the partitions programs to partition and format it

No sound in win 7 with P5VD2-MX motherboard

Hi again,

I've just run a check, and Asus don't have driver support for win7 on the P5VD2-MX, not sure if they ever will. Though they do have the drivers for Vista (32Bit),

You can download them from here:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx

Just type in the model number in the top left corner, select the correct board, then select your OS, then away you go.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Tim

My m2n32-sli premium vista edition motherboard refuses to boot up when i put 6 gbs of memory. How do i solve this issue?

Hi iimarceloii, did you check the FAQ section on Asus web site?
Using Vista 32bit/64bit edition or win XP;
http://support.asus.com/faq/faq.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=M2N32-SLI%20Premium%20VISTA%20Edition&os=24
Basically Asus wants you to use 2GB of memory until windows has been completely installed & completely updated before you can add more memory to the system.
Than you can increase your memory to 6BG. To see all the FAQ's from Asus, click on this link; http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
Type: M2N32-SLI into the search window & click the arrow button.

Good luck iimarceloii!

Try slipstreaming SATA drivers into your O/S
You need "Driverpacks" one word search and "Nlite" to do it

Vista drivers

Go to the Gigabyte website and check for Vista drivers based on the motherboard model #. If not available there use a program like aida32 or fresh diagnostics to identify the ethernet make and model and go to that manufacturer's site for the Vista driver. You may also be able to just explore the cd that came with the motherboard to find the ethernet driver folder and see if a Vista driver is there and manually install it without using the normal gui install interface like in XP.
