HP Photosmart C6150 Black ink will not print, although there is no error message and the document sound like it is being printed but comes out blank. No problem with colors. I have cleaned printheads multiple times through the control panel. When trying to run alignment, error message "print cartridge alignment failure."

After performing print head cleaning and alignment at least 3x consecutively and replacing the ink cartridges and still the issue persists, your printer will require service.

First of all to exactly locate that where is the  fault get your black cartridge checked in another printer of same model.if u dont know any one having that same model printer.go to any  cartridge refilling local shop they will get it checked for you.the checking cartridge will be absolutely free. if the printout comes properly in another printer then its the printers fault.but if the printout does not come in the another printer and it shows the same problem like in your printer.its definately the cartridge fault.and needs replacement.but as u said u have replaced the cartridges.it would be printers fault. still u try printing the test copy directly from the printer and not by giving the command from the pc.just press the menu button and enter the printer settings mde and from there select the printer test page option and then press OK to continue.if the test page prints directly from the printer then its the problem of settings in your pc.as it is not setted on printing in black mode. just go to printer properties and set the black mode printsettings. but if the test page does not comes out properly after directly printing from the printer.then may be the cable wire connected to the printer carriage head is got slightly cut so the black is not printing and colour is printing properly.also where u insert the cartridges in the printer there are brown dotted circuit if any dust on that circuit it does not detects the cartridge and results in no printous. clean that circuit with soft tissue.

Did you try replacing the black ink cartridge, that is the first thing to do.

Try replacing the black cartridge with a new one, if that does not fix the problem, all you can do is removing the print head or the ink carriage, and cleaning it by soaking it in isopropyil alcohol overnight.

There is one or 3 plastic levers on the carriage, depending on the model, you need to unlock them to release the print head.

Cleaning the printhead with the software tool procedure is not enough.

You need to remove the printhead and soak it in isopropyl alcohol overnight, ir use an head gleaner cartridge.

If that does not work, you replace the printhead, here is the part.

Alignment has nothing to do with this.

The black ink on my HP Photosmart 3310 printer does not print. All the colour cartridges print with no problems.

Black printer ink in HP Photosmart may fail to be recognized by the printer. Most times an error message will be sent indicating that something is wrong with the black print cartridge. Sometimes the printer may accept to print with the black ink, but the printouts may have horizontal lines and very illegible letters. In such a case a manual cleaning of the print head should be carried out. In doing the manual cleaning, one should spray Windex heavily on paper towel and wipe off the surface of the print head.

Error message Oxc18a0301 on my hp photosmart c6150 printer

Hi,

The "Oxc18" series errors can be removed by resetting the printer. Unplug the USB cable from the printer, remove the ink cartridges. When the "Insert ink cartridges" message appears unplug the power cord from the printer. Wait 1 minute (at least), then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer if it didn't come on by itself. Reinsert the ink, close the unit and print a calibration page if prompted to do so. Finally reconnect the USB cable to the printer. If this doesn't work, the unit needs service (or replacement if the service call will cost more than a new printer).

Thank you!!

Black ink will not print on Photosmart C6150; Ink

I'd do the reboot of the printer.Turn it off, unplug for 60 seconds, plug it back in,turn it back on and see if the black will work. After plugging back in it should clean the print head and then you can do a test page to make sure.
