Audiovox Xpress XM Radio Home Dock Problems

I have an Xpress which works fine in the car. However, when I place it in the home dock (XMH10A) the menu won't allow me to access the FM frequency set up.

Delphi xm radio SA 10085 just says "Antenna" on screen. how do I make it work?

It is usually one of two different possible problems: either the antenna really is bad and/or not plugged in tight BEFORE you turn it on, or the docking unit you have it in has a bad connection to the radio and/or antenna connector. If you swap-out the base/dock or try it in someone else's dock to see if your radio is still okay.
Also, when I have a really old radio, it typically does the 'antenna' warning when it is about to croak, so might be time to look for a new radio - plenty online, but might have same issues, so be careful. Good luck and let me know what you find out.

My xm express radio screen light keeps flashing on and off

Receivers can lose a backlight for a number of reasons. It could be a failing power source, or it could be a loose connection between the dock and the receiver. I would say that more often than not, it is simply the backlight going out. TSS Radio has a repair guy who can fix this issue in most cases. You just need to send an email to sales@tss-radio.com Although, with an Xpress, it may not be worth it as you can replace the whole kit and the radio for just $14.99 here: http://www.tss-radio.com/products/xm-xpressez-receiver-and-car-kit

My Delphi XM2GO MyFi has stopped transmitting to an FM station on a house radio. Is it repairable? If so, is there a facility in the Cleveland, OH area where I can take it?

IF you take it out of the home dock and run it on batteries, I'll bet you it works again. The newer home docks TURN OFF the FM transmitter. Try a car dock, or try it with just the power plug plugged into the bottom of the MyFi, without the home dock and see if you can now get the FM transmitter to work. Let me know. Thanks and good luck.

No signal problem on xm home satilite docking staion

You have probably lost a local repeater. Try moving it temporarily to a south-facing window. Here's another one to try: Put in dock and turn off with button on unit. wait 10 seconds, now press "2" "0" "7" "XM" buttons one at a time in that order ON THE FRONT of your SkyFi2 and the radio will go ON by itself! Now, press "Display" 4 times. You will see a screen that says "SAT1", "SAT2" and "TERR". You need a constant checkmark for DEMOD on at least one of the 3 boxes. Please tell me which ones are checkmarked and the average "BER%" number is. The lower the BER% number, the better. If BERis 100%, you are out of luck. Write back and let me know what you read. Press "Display" 5 more times to go back to regular screen. Thanks,
John

Stops receiving signals

Make sure that your antenna is in a line of sight such as a window. I know Sirius works in an Easterly direction for line of sight but I think XM works in a Westerly direction for line of sight.

The system has a buffer in it so it can take 5-10 minutes to lose the signal if it does. Keep an eye on the meter.

Roady xt and car kit under warranty but part is obsolete

Wow, sounds like a tough break, Personally I would take the XM offer, or perhaps look at Ebay for a new dock. YOu can go throught the warranty process with delphi they usually are simple enough to deal with, but that will be a long process. Wiring it into the radio is still going to require a working dock, and most stock car radios dont have an input. Some will say AUX input or XM ready on them. Now if your car has a tape deck you might try one of those handy tape adaptors that plugs from your dock to your tape deck. You can pick those up at your local electronics store for 10-20 dollars, and they work pretty well. Hope that helps Let me know there is anything else I can do
