Deleting photos I've forgotten how to delete photos from my memory card. I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-P71. Can anyone tell me how?

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Maximum memory capacity for this model is 128Mb.

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.

check the memory card if theres a little switch on the side of it try moving it to its other position and try then

when poweris on but shutter doset open

You can recover deleted photos with camera recovery software like asoftech photo recovery, download from

Please be noted that your camera memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

My suggestion is to get a card reader which will read your memory card. Then copy all photos to your computer. Next delete what you want from the list on the computer.
There are a lot of other free viewers which will read and view the .jpg files or other kinds of photo files.

You can also try this:
Go to the Sony website and find your camera, usually under support and downloads or some thing like that. Download the newest version of the software you need. It should all be there for the taking.
There may also be upgrades for what you already have on your computer.
