Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Make sure you turn the printer off and back on a couple times. The fuser is not "hot-swappable"meaning you need to cycle the power for the machine to recognize it. If after doing this and you are confident that the fuser is seated correctly the next step would be to replace the fuser (part# - 115R00035). has these in stock and ships same day. Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa!

Printer prints out blank pages

Follow these steps:

1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder.
Turn off your printer.
Hold down the paper button as you press the power button to turn the printer back on. Hold down both buttons until the power light begins to flash, then release the buttons.

The printer prints its test page, which includes a nozzle check. Does the paper print out without any gaps or with gaps? If there are do this:

2. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder.
Make sure the printer is on and the ink light is off.
Right-click the printer icon in the bottom right corner of your screen (the taskbar) and select Head Cleaning.

Follow the on-screen instructions to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts about 1 minute. The power light flashes throughout the cleaning cycle and stays on green when the cycle is finished.

Never turn off the printer during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it.

When the power light stops flashing and remains on, you can check to see if the nozzles are clean. Click Print Nozzle Check Pattern and click Print. Check the printed nozzle check pattern to see if there are gaps in the lines.

If there are no gaps, click Finish.

If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, click Clean to clean the print head again.
You may need to clean the print head up to 4 times. You can also turn off the printer and wait at least 6 hours. Then try printing again.

If this doesn't work then double check that you have the toner cartridges in correctly. If you do then your print head is broken and/or burned out and it's best to just replace the printer. Fixing it would cost more than the printer itself

When i hit "print" the

Does the red light blink or stay on sterady?

Issue: The Compact Photo printer power button is blinking red.

Solution: Turn the Compact Photo printer off, then back on again.

"Paper Jam" appears on the digital camera LCD Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord from the printer. Then reconnect the power cord and power on the printer. If the printer fails to eject the paper, the printer may require service. Contact the Canon Customer Support help desk for assistance.

When you power down I would recommend also unplugging the printer from the power supply (wall outlet). Let it rest 5 - 10 minutes and then plug back in.

The manual says a blinking red power light indicates a problem in the printer, but the only solution provided it to turn off and on.

If there are no paper jams, and no other error messages hoepfully a completr power down will clear the error.

Issue: Printer's power button lights red without the camera's LCD monitor displaying any error message.

There is a malfunction in the printer.

Remove the paper from the paper-handling slot and take up any slack in the ink sheet. Turn the printe's power off and turn it on again.

If none of this helps I would check to see if my driver is current:

Printer constantly stays on....Shows E... red blinking light shows check printer cartridge

Try to carefully clean off the contacts on the back of each printer cartridge with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Then re-seat the cartridges into the carriage and see if that works. If not, try to power cycle the printer. Unplug it completely from the power for at least 10 minutes. Come back and plug it in. If it doesn't work, it's probably toast. You're lucky it's lasted this long. I had my exact same model printer go out two months ago. Unfortunately, they were made to be thrown away. Not really able to be fixed.

Printer trouble

Power cycle the printer. If problem remains, try a partial reset. You can do the partial reset as follows:
1. Unplug and replug the unit.
2. when lights flash on power up, hold down the ON/RESUME and PAGE SIZE buttons together.
3. When only the ON/RESUME button light flashes, you can release the buttons.
4. When the lights stop flashing, the reset is all done!

If problem remains, you are fully justified to ask HP to replace the unit for you (well, if you're still in warranty!). Good luck :)
