Sharper Image Beetle projection alarm clock/radio-need ac adap.
Two of my kids have the Beetle Projection Alarm Clock & FM Radio put out by Sharper Image. It takes 4 AA batteries, which do not last long, or an ac adapter #SM917. The adapter was sold seperately and now we can not find it anywhere! Does anyone know if there is an adapter that would fit the car, or where we might find the #SM917 adapter? I have search the web and have not come up with anything. Thanks for any help you can provide.

1.set time: hold down "clock" button for five seconds, then use up and down arrows to change, and press "clock" button once to toggle between month/day/year/hour/minute. Try it a few times b/c sometimes it just goes to the alarm setting (i don't know why, i think it's a glitch).
2.set alarm: hold down "alarm" button for 5 seconds, use up and down arrows to change, press "alarm" button once to toggle between hour/minute. press "clock" button to return to clock
3.turn on/off alarm: press "alarm" button once, press up to turn alarm on and press up again to turn alarm off. press "clock" button to return to clock
4.to project the images: push the buttons that look like video cameras. to focus the image, rotate the cylinder around the lens that projects the image. on the daisy clock, there's a button on top that you can use to flip the projected image of the time upside down. use the dial next to the lens-cylinders to select a different image (you may need to point the cylinders in a different direction to reach the dial)
I can't upload a manual but I can give you instructions: 1) set time: hold down "time set" button for five seconds, then use up and down arrows to change, and press "time set" button once to toggle between m/d/y/hour/minute. If it goes to the alarm setting instead of time setting, try again. 2) set alarm: hold down "alarm set" button for 5 seconds, use up and down arrows to change, press "alarm set" button once to toggle between hour/minute. press "time set" button to return to clock
3) turn on/off alarm: press "alarm set" button once, press "up" to turn alarm on and press "up" again to turn alarm off. press "time set" button to return to clock
4) to project the images: push the buttons that read "time" or "image". to focus the image, rotate the cylinder around the lens that projects the image. use the dial under the lens-cylinders to select a different image
5) military time: press the "up" button when the time is displayed (not when you're setting the time) to change from 12 to 24 hr or vise-versa
Hello You want to decrese the volume of alarm sound I assumes, and provides this solution. To decrese or increase it volume. Press Mode switch. Alarm time and icon flashes on the display. Press to change and select alarm volume. LO=Soft HI = Loud UP = Ramp Up. OK.
Sorry, no luck with a manual for the GT113, here is the link for the manual for it's replacement, the GT806;
Check page 16 - hopefully the process is the same on your model for the alarm - other features are definitely different.
Please ask again if this doesn't work.
Hope this helps :)
