SOURCE: Barcodes print too long

This is defendant on the program you use to print labels with. The printer responds to either a print job sent to the driver (like a standard windows printer). Or you can send an EPL program to the printer in order to use internal barcode generating features of the printer. The dimensions of the barcode are controlled via the EPL script. See the EPL programming guide avaialble on Zebra's website for more info.

Turn off the printer, then hold down the feed button while you turn it on again. After the configuration label prints, turn the printer off and on again, then try to print your labels.

If the barcodes still don't print, make sure they don't extand past the top, bottom or side of the label. If you software allows you to "clear the label cache" or "re-image the enitre label", try that.

Hi I am printing barcode labels on a Zebra Tlp2844-Z. I can print resident barcodes in passthrough mode using the old Zebra driver (1.0.0.43) but the barcode does not print using the ZDesigner driver...

Have you tried creating the barcode / label using the ZDesigner software? It is available free on their website and I'm sure you'll find it easy to use. Hope this helps!

Zebra TLP2844 does not print the barcode label

Can you print the barcode using the software that come with the printer. Zebra TLP2844 come with basic Designer software. Test whether it's printing the barcode or not.

IF it prints the barcode via its software, then you might be having barcode font problem between your application/os and the printer.

Printer won't print from computer

Start from the beginning. Check that everything is connected between the computer and printer. Be sure the power is on. In Windows XP, go to the control panel and find "Printers and Faxes". Double click on that. If you don't find your printer in the list of printers and icons, click on the "Add Printers" button on the left column. Follow the steps to install your printer. When you print, make sure the printer is selected. If you have more than one printer icon (and you only have one printer), right-click on the icon for your printer, and find the button that says " Set As Default Printer". Click on that so that the printer is the one that will print your files. You'll see a check-mark next to the icon which indicates that it's the default printer. If you have multiple icons for the same printer, delete the ones that aren't being used.
Once your printer is set up properly, try printing something to be sure it works.
If it doesn't and you can't figure out what's wrong, you may have a faulty cable. Try another one.
When you go to print you file, click on "File", then "Print". Then you can see which printer is going to be used. If your printer isn't shown in the box at the top, click on the scroll box and see if your printer is there. Click on it if you see it in there. If you simply click on the printer icon on the tool bar, you won't know which printer has been selected. Use the "File" and "Print" commands instead to gain access to more information about your printer selection, paper type, preferences, etc. Good luck!
