Question about Toshiba TN43V71 43" Rear Projection Television
My projection TV Toshiba TN43V71 intermittently turn off ifself and the LED power light keeps flashing. During the blinking of the LED, I can not turn off the TV by pressing the power button. The only way to turn the TV off and then turn it back on is to unplug the power cord. What is the possibilities and how to fix it?

SYMPTOM: Won't turn on or intermittently won't turn on, Red LED Flashes.
CAUSE: Loss of Main Switched Power Sources. Standby power is OK.
SOLUTION: Replace Regulator IC Q820 with Toshiba Part # 23135094

It sounds like your switching power supply or you High Voltage power supply has malfunctioned. These sections control all power to the TV and can produce the situation you are describing. If you do not have a background in electronics, I would suggest that you have a TV repairperson come over and check your TV out.
I say this because there are voltages in a TV set that can kill, so caution is needed.
