Why is there no instructional manual when you purchase a Cuisitech Halogen Oven? Surely, paying 50 pounds for the oven should mean you get a free user manual with it! It seems you can only BUY the user manual on-line, or pay for it to be downloaded - why? My mum is an 83yr old pensioner & she can't afford the unnecessary added cost!

Most of the time, you can find a manual at the mfg's website. I thoughtI was going to have to pay for a manual for TV that is about 10 yearsold. I kept searching and finally found one. Be sure to download it toyour hard drive to print off the pages you want.

Under the section on Heat Precautions you will note:
Do not use the cooking pot or cover on the stovetop, under the broiler, in the freezer, or in the oven. You may use the cooking pot in the microwave oven, but do not place the glass cover in the microwave oven as it has a metal ring.
Stoneware by it's nature isn't designed for use over an open flame, as the flame can cause concentrated "hot spots" which could damage (crack) the crockery insert.
I've used mine to reheat mac & cheese I've made using the crock pot, but then again, my Hamiliton Beach crock pot stated the insert was oven safe to 475 degrees.
As far as using in an oven, most crock pot inserts can withstand oven temperatures, but refer to the owner's manual and instructions that came with your particular appliance to see what they reccomend in that regard.
Hi hope you still visit this site...I own this convection oven and have the manuel...It is 37 pages, but cooking with this thing...It is important to remember to pre heat every time (IT never says how long)...and RULE 2 almost always use the low rack...The High rack is for cooking two dishes at once..#3 small things or spices can get blown into the fan...so they need to cook on the top part of the high rack...I could copy my booklet and send it to you,but you are still going to have to learn to cook with it and adjust everything...It will heat up your kitchen some,also...Gets very hot...But the clean up is pretty easy. Mine has a wash cycle in it...Occasionally I unscrew the screen and clean it up if it has become soiled...I think it is the same thing as Mr T's Flavorwave.altho ours does not say infared. Ya'll can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org...ANd you can see MrT's at www.thane.com and click on flavorwave oven turbo?? SURE looks like ours???
I just called Rival for help. Fortunately, my lid "hinge" is going to be replaced with a complete new slow cooker. Call 800 323 9519 or go online at www.rivalproducts.com Also, I saw that they have a recall site (www,rivalrecall.com) for burners. Good luck.
