Question about Epson Stylus C46 InkJet Printer
The cover over the cartridge was not closed properly is my guess - was the noise like a grinding sound? - if so, it was the toothed drive belt jumping teeth on the drive roller.
Turn off power to the printer and GENTLY pull the cartridge carriage back t the center using the drive belt. Next remove and re-insert the cartridges and make sure the cartridge cover is down and locked.
