In circuit remote sensor is broken

Give proper answer

I tested the remote control (digital camera picks up it's light if it works - and it did, so it does work). Now the only problem left is the remote sensor in the tv itself - where is it located, so I can access it to clean it or replace it??? I'm pretty handy with electronics, and I would really like to fix this myself - I don't want to take a $50 tv to a repair shop and pay $200 fix it...
It's my mother's tv, and she's in her 70's - I don't want her having to get up and turn it on/off or change volume manually! Please help!

Do you mean the infra red receiver is not working?? but first you should determine if the remote control is working correctly. If you take it to an technician he would be able to tell you if it is ok.

Or do you mean the infra red transmitter diode in the remote control is broken??

IT IS VERY SIMPLE TO CHECK THE REMOTE CONTROL FIRST . WHAT YOU NEED IS A RADIO THAT HAS AM BAND ,TUNE IT TO ANY AM STATION THEN HOLD THE REMOTE CONTROL CLOSE TO IT AND PRESS ANY BUTTON IT SHOULD MAKE THE RADIO SOUND DISTORTED EXAMPLE (TA TA TA) IF THAT HAPPENS THE CONTROL IS WORKING . IF NOT THE R.C. IS DEAD . PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS AFTER U PERFORM THIS TEST

Door closes only by holding control button down thru the time of operation?

Either you have an obstruction between the two sensors on floor on each side of door or the safety circuit is defective.

Make sure both are properly connected. One should be lit up and when you place something in between the sensors the light should go out.

Mi catera 97 it's giving me a code po100 maf I

Hi there:
DTC P0100 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Malfunction

Basically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. Other MAF sensor circuit DTC trouble codes are P0101, P0102, P0103, and P0104.

You will likely not notice any serious drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a general decrease in power or sluggishness.

A code P0100 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be badThe MAF sensor may be faultyPossible Solutions

The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:

Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.Unplug and reconnect the MAF wiring harnessCheck the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information)Replace the MAF sensor

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

I have a po174 fault. I tried cleaning my msf sensor. I have also replaced my air filter and all the spark plugs

Use only MAF Sensor Cleaner to clean. If that doesnt work, check leaks in vacum and all other hoses. And check fuel filter and fuel pressure. If nothing help, thry to lend from someone MAF sensor, maybe yours is not working properly. It will not make short circuit or any other fault if it's broken and doesnt give wriht informatin to ecu.

Obd codes for a 1994 cadillac seville sls

It means the heater circuit for the O2 sensor has failed. An O2 sensor has to be up around 900 degrees to function properly, and if its heater fails, it won't get up to temperature (thus the "not ready" diagnosis). Replacing the O2 sensor will fix your problem.

Toshiba 43H71 - remote sensor not working

The sensor is not the only fault that can cause the remote control to not work. The sensor is only one part of the circuits involved.

Between the sensor, there may be buffer amplifier stage, and then there is the main uPC.

What we do is send a remote IR data signal to the sensor, and on the circuit board in the set I follow the data signal along its path using a scope in reference to the service diagrams to see where the data loss is.

Personaly, I would not blindly buy a new sensor based on a guess without doing the proper tests.
