Please help.
OK! It sounds like your drive has got some
Run the Windows Error-checking tool to see whether it is still healthy:
Right Click you drive in My Computer > Properties > Tools > Check Now > Mark "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors".
If these cannot check the drive problem, you'd better try to restore your data inside this drive by using a data recovery programs and take chances with re-formatting.
As with data recovery software, there are plenty of data recovery programs available out there. What you should do is to select the most proper one for your drive.
I would like to recommend you to try this drive data recovery freeware here:
If you don't want to lose your data again, you'd better not to user this drive and learn to back up everything important from now on.

OK! What has happened is the FAT "File Allocation Table" on the hard drive is missing or has been damaged.
First you need to try to recover your data.. There are a few free programs to try.
DO NOT PROCEED UNTIL ALL OF YOUR DATA IS RECOVERED...
Going any further will PERMANENTLY ERASE all off your data.
Once you get your data OFF of the hard drive. Get a LOW LEVEL FORMAT utility that is meant for your specific hard drive, You have a WD hard drive so get "Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows" software
Choose which drive you have and Download here
Run the diagnostics in the program on the Hard Drive. Do everything it says to do.
This REPLACES the FAT and then your drive is usable again...
I WOULD NOT USE THE DRIVE AGAIN UNLESS YOU LOW-LEVEL FORMAT IT FIRST...

Have you try to connect it to a different computer?
if yes and getting the same problem you need to call your WD for the warranty and replace it. if your up to your files inside your storage i guess they will endorse you to their third party company that will recover your data storage and it will cost a lot.
