Low volume on tascam us-122L

Hi there my problem is:
i use cubase for recording and producing music, and when i monitor with my headphones the music sounds great, and i export it...
the volume is too low. even if the levels of the cubase channels are really high. i don't know how tu pump up the volume in the export.
what do i have to do to have that volume that professional recordings need?
please help me!!!

I have the same problem! whenever I open the final track on something like itunes, it seems like its half the volume as everything else in my library.

So I am not alone. I have this problem both on my PC and on the Mac. :(
I couldn't find the solution for this, so now I will buy a microphone preamp (Symetrix 528). My Tascam US144 has been nothing but a disappointment.
Advice: get something better when you want to buy a sound interphase. :)

    Love and Peace,

This could be due to the output volume and monitor mix are turned too low. You can fix this by adjusting the input gain levels in the ASIO settings menu.

How can I clean up a recording that is full of noise & static?

I Don't know of any Olympus proprietory program to remove noise but if you can export it to a .wav format, it can then be edited and cleaned up digitally buy any semi pro sound editing software.such as sony's Sound Forge or cubase? cakewalk. software used for edit old records for conversion to cd may also help here. From there you can then save to cd for playback. If sound editing is beyond you, contact a recording studio or media house that produces commercials, they may be able to help.
Hope this is helpful

No sound from the monitor or playback

check out where your monitors are receiving their audio it from the tascam or the onboard or audio another interface.first choose an output for your sound,if you using the tascam as an output for your sound connect your monitors to the phones input in front and use the mono mix knob to swap between audio coming from your usb or computer.if you want to hear from your mic or guitar move knob to usb if you want to hear from computer as in playbck move it to computer.

No sound in playback (but can hear click track)

This might seem simple, but just to check: you have switched off the monitor on the track when you go to playback? With track monitor engaged, you will not hear playback, but will continue to hear the live monitor.

Transfer your files on cd

You need to convert t5he files to .cda format for audio only and NTSC for television. A good way to make an audio cd is to do it through windows Media Player. It is very easy to use. Just find the button for burning to CD and follow the instructions.

Hope This helps
