Monitor just goes blank suddenly - goes white, black, blue, green even been brown- can happen any time - today about 4 times yesterday just once. Only thing I can do is hold on/off switch till computer...

Take a look at the back of the monitor there must be a cable which is connected at the back of your computer tower.

If you take a look at the back of your computer tower you will see that cable has a big plug with two screws on the top of it. It could be blue in color or may be grey. ( The name of that cable is Video cable )

Now what you have to do is to take that cable out of the computer. Now switch on the computer.

If you see a message on the screen saying " NO INPUT SIGNAL " :- That means your monitor is fine. If it does not shows that. Then your monitor is bad.

Remember the power cable of the monitor should be connected while doing the above steps.

Now incase you can see the "NO INPUT SIGNAL " message on the screen. Even then the problem persist.

It might be possible that the Video cable has gone bad. You need to consult a hardware technician for your monitor.

Try this and let me know if it helps.

CPU power problem

Check whether all connection are good and take out any CDs in the tray. I guess this must be a SMPS problem.

The OS is not bootup, yesterday night suddenly it got stoped

When you power on the computer, try pressing F8 key until you get a prompt screen, you will find many options, there you click on LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATIONS.it will work.
If this trick does not work try same procedure given above and this time you press SAFE MODE.The computer will start in safe mode. There, you can restore your your computer to a date in which it was working properly.it will work.

Blinking red light at "on" button

Dont panic the date is more than likely fine was the computer off or on during the night. The three flashes is usual joined with 3 beeps chweck that the internal speaker is on. Second there is a small battery on the motherboard. Disconnect the power then take the battery out for twenty seconds then put it back in be gentle taking it in and out the reconnect the power then see if the unit boots if not. At worst you can take the hard drive out of the computer and put it in another and retrieve the data.
Hope this helps :-)
