Magic Chef 250-2 Bread Machine Mixing paddle broke
Any one out there that has this machine with a broken belt (and is going to get rid of the machine) that would like to send me their mixing paddle I would greatly appreciate it. My belt is holding up but I can't find a mixing paddle anywhere. Thanks so much! [email protected]

Hi, It could be two things wrong with the machine. To check for a belt that fell off the pulley or has snapped, take the bread pan out of the machine and start a kneading (mixing) cycle. Then look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft is turning. If not then it's probably the belt. If it is turning, then you can try spinning the paddle in the bread pan by hand (while it's out of the machine). If you can't spin it freely, then the sealed bearing is frozen. Try pitting hot water in the pan and soak it. Do this a few times...if it still doesn't move freely then the bearing is broken and the whole bread pan needs to be replaced. Hank
