I appreciate your quick response to my inquiry. I did not know that I had to be a computer genius to buy a printer. So back to the store it goes. I am extremely grateful for the info, otherwise I may of really screwed computer/printer up trying to make it work.

Hello,

Unfortunately, if you cpu/processor is not fast enough you will need to upgrade the cpu to the minimum requirements.

NOTE: Your motherboard also needs to support the minimum cpu required. You can refer to the manual to see if it will. If not, you may need to replace the motherboard also.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

Thanks

First I need to know about your machine (technical details) like Model of processor, Installed RAM and Video card with memory size or model number of it.

This is normally happens for the Graphics (Video) card. If it has lower memory capacity as well as processing speed of video card's GPU than the games required.

This is also cause for the lower installed memory (RAM) size, as Games requires.

You can get several information of your PC by System Properties. I don't know which operating system you are currently using so I can't tell you specifically how to get them. In case of windows go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information 6_25_2012_10_12_23_am.jpg

I have an operating system Windows 2000 and when I installed e new version of Skype (5.3) the program refuses to start and show next message: Failed to get proc address for SetIdDirectoryW (kernell32.dll)....

System requirements for Skype 5.3
  • PC running Windows® XP, Vista or 7, both 32- and 64-bit operating systems.
  • Internet connection - broadband is best (GPRS is not supported for voice calls).
  • Speakers and microphone - built-in or separate.
  • For voice calls recommend broadband connection with 100 kbps down / 100 kbps up.
  • For group video calling everyone on the call needs Skype 5.0 for Windows or Mac or higher plus webcams, and at least one person needs a group video calling subscription. For best quality we recommend you use a high-speed broadband connection of 4Mbps down / 512kbps up and a computer with a Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz processor. As a minimum you'll need a high-speed broad connection of 512kbps down / 128kbps up and a computer with a 1 GHz processor.
Note :Please consider in Processor, RAM, VGA and harddisk. those the main thing to decide whatever Skype 5.3 for Windows can be installed properly in computer system or not. If one of those minimum requirements can't be achieved by your hardware, please don't even try to install Skype 5.3for Windows.. Leave comment if you have something to ask!!

Computer too slow to play song

Computer memory and processor speed are the things that make a computer too slow for music playback. Also check your system for routine maintenance. Use the Computer Cleanup utility in Windows. Although this will help, the system may not have enough memory or processor speed to playback.

Does not install on 64bit systems

Please read the System Requirements Carefully.
60-day trial does not include technical support and requires the following:
  • PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed.
  • Windows Vista® with 1 GB RAM, Windows® XP with 256 MB RAM, Windows Server® 2008 with 512 MB RAM or Windows Server 2003 with 256 MB RAM -> (64-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Server excluded); service packs for operating systems recommended.
  • Certain features require Internet Explorer®. If not present, Internet Explorer will be installed but will not displace your primary browser.
  • Available hard-disk space: 1.8 GB (some users may require up to an extra 300 MB).
  • For installation of software: DVD drive or high speed Internet access.
  • Super VGA (1024 x 768) or higher resolution monitor.
  • Microsoft Mouse, Microsoft IntelliMouse®, or a compatible pointing device.
Thats the System Requirements for the Trial Version. I am not sure whether you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7. You cannot install this on WINDOWS XP/Windows Server 2003 which have 64BIT Architecture.
Same applies for the 2009 Version as well.
You can update it to work with Windows 7 from here. You can update it to work with Windows Vista from here. Search by the Name under Software category.
Feel free to contact me if you need further instructions. Please be kind enough to Rate the answer as well with a comment if it solved your issue.
Thanks for contacting Fixya!

It say it failed the minimum system requirements and when we inspected further it says that it didn't meet the minimum processor speed requirement. I found this strange because my computer has a quad-core...

Yes you would think that would be fast enough wouldn't you. However it may not. It MUST tell you what that Minimum is? I wonder if maybe it isn't RAM, it's on about? I would contact Intel and ask whats what. OR read the manual for advice. Can you adjust you Processor speed up, via BIOS, exactly what does it need? maybe it needs a 64 bit processor?

2k3 server is not supporting in cq40 compaq laptop please any one help me

If you are thinking of installing Windows Server 2003,then try to make sure that your system meets the following minimum system requirements: 128MB RAM and a 600MHz processor, and I recommend 5Gig HDD Free space.
But if it is Windows 2008 Server, then think of having this : 512MB of Ram, 10Gig of HDD free space, and an x86 processor with minimum speed of 1Ghz, or an x64 processor with minimum speed of 1.4Ghz.
Hope this helps you out .

Need install info for a lexmark x5070 i recently bought used. can anyone point me in the right direction?

If the printer is connected by USB cable, disconnect it.

Copy and paste the link below to your browser

http://www.siliconguide.com/drivers/device/983/

and enter.

Download the required file depending on your operating system (XP/Vista etc). It is all listed there. Once downloaded, double click on the file. This is an EXE file, so it will install easily. While installing it will ask you to connect the printer. Do so. Once installation is complete, reboot. Good Luck.

Problem regarding installation pack

I do not quite understand your configuration, but 512 MB RAM is certainly not enough to run Vista Ultimate in any productive way.

See http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/get/system-requirements.aspx for minimum requirements.

these requirements are bare minimum, you will not enjoy Vista with such minimal configurations

I bought a Lexmark 4875 for mac. It bombs every application when you hit the "print" button. Downloading the fresh driver didn't help, and their support website doesn't address this issue at all.
