Question about Compaq Keyboard

[t:0][e:20121221T235 the code you're seeing on the screen is actually not of human origin, no matter what you hear elsewhere... It is a message, with a date... The code is [t:0][e:20121221T235 when you break up the numbers you get 2012 12 21 T235 year 2012... month 12... day 21... This is the day that "Jesus Christ" is coming back... He will arrive at around 11:11... Now the tare is being separated from the wheat, and now you are being summoned as a Destiny Reservist. You will have to look carefully around you now as you will have to work with the midwayers and/or angelic beings assigned to leading you to our Divine Administration... The only way for you to know it is real, is for you to find out on your own accord, you have this message, but from here, it is up to you... Unite... Reality... Always... Never... Timely... Inspiration... All

I have a similar problem. I get the message: [t:O][e:20100325T23490

I guess the theory of the mesiah coming back in 2012 is bit flawed unless the mesiah is coming twice!

In the meanwhile, I still have a big black rectangle in the middle of my tv everyday!

  • lsherrill10 Apr 26, 2009

We have the same problem and the black square keeps popping up on the TV. We do not have a keyboard attached but I feel it has something to do with the interactive TV which is available to us but we do not use.

It is only happening on one of 4 TV's in our house and they are all connected to the same satelite.

How do I get rid of it.

  • Anonymous Apr 29, 2009

What has not been stated clearly are the facts. My TV is a 'D' I think it's Durabrand. The logo is a D in an oval and it has a dark and light disign that looks like a backwards C in light or chrome, the number on the remote is HYF-23A. We are using DishTV, satelite, live in the S.E. USA, we do not have a wireless network or Keyboard hooked up to the TV. Time of day has not been a big deal, but since it happens more often on certain channels it may be from different signals from the satelite

Turn OFF or change your close caption settings. My TV was set for TEXT2 it went away when I used the CCD button on my remote control to turn it OFF!!!! I asked for help with this problem and tried to use the TV model, or Dish Network or the interactive option, NOPE, IT IS ONLY AN OPTION ON THE TV. I even called geek squad and they confirmed to me that its a close caption setting on my TV!!!!
I also have the ORIGINAL remote control to my specific TV. If you do not have your ORIGINAL remote then access your close caption settings through your menu.

IT WORKED FOR ME and now I don't have that annoying black text caption box with codes in it like this: (12/18/2009 01:54:38)<lid://trg] anymore..............well until I "accidentally" push my CCD button again lol ;)

I hope this has helped everyone, JD

P.S. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS SILLY PERSON! IT SAYS IN THE "HOLY BIBLE" THAT NO ONE KNOWS WHEN JESUS WILL RETURN ONLY OUR FATHER GOD IN HEAVEN KNOWS!!

36“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." Mathew 24:36 (NKJV)

I hope and pray that this has helped everyone even more so than my earlier post above!!

God Bless you ALL in the name of OUR lord and savior, Yeshua aka Jesus the Christ

What is the laser classification of Staples mouse B250?

maybe this will help:

  • Class I laser product means any laser product that does not permit human access during the operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits as defined in Table I of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10. Class I levels of laser radiation are not considered to be hazardous.
  • Class II laser product means any laser product that permits human access during operation to levels of visible laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table II-A of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10, but does not permit human access during operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table II of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10. I just bought a new Inspiron laptop, as well as a Kensington USB docking station and a Dell WM311 wireless mouse. I can't get the mouse to work at all, and can't get the docking station to work properly...

Closing the lid of most laptops sends a signal to put the machine in hibernate or sleep mode. You can either leave the lid open or change the power savings settings. In Win 7, this is in the Control Panel but can also be reached from the advanced power savings settings from the Screen Saver. Click on the desktop (anywhere without an icon or running program) and select Personalize. Click on the Screen Saver and then Change Power Settings. Then Change Plan Settings (look for the line Advanced Plan Settings and the section marked Power Button and Lid).

I don't know enough to help you with the mouse problem. I'd check the batteries for the mouse first. Then ask Dell.

I wish that I could be of more help.

BTC MDL# 6300CL Illuminated, (NOT wireless), keyboard. "S" key no longer seems to be making contact. Mechanically keystroke still feels same as all the rest. I really love this kybd & would hate to...

Carefully stick a butter knife tip from the bottom side of the key.
    e.g. Above the Z and X key.

Turn very carefully either clockwise or counter clockwise (it doesn't matter) either way do it carefully until you hear a little click, the key will pop out and you can clean it.

To reinstall just center it, and "carefully" press down till you hear it snap back in place.

There's little ***** plastic tips which snap together, if you snap one off your toast.

I learned this because I have TWO BTC 6300CL's and I used the keys from one on the other, and have since removed every key "carefully" and cleaned it and re-assembled it and it works a treat!

Good luck, these are really hard to find now.

Ac cord stop working-could not charge battery-so it died, bought a new cord, charged battery, now the screen display not turning on. On a Dell inspiron 1525

    Hi,
Usually i would tell you to take out the system memory and reseat it but i recognize the problem.
Whether or not you are still covered by warranty on this laptop you should get in touch with Dell about your issue.
Certain Inspiron models are having problems with their graphics chips (GPU's) which is recognized as a problem by Dell themselves, giving them a call may result in costing less for the OEM repair unless you want to try and fix the problem yourself.
The actual problem is the GPU "graphics processing unit" getting hot, this causes micro fissures between the solder points, the common terminology is a dry or dropped join but its on a microscopic scale not visible to the human eye. This results in not the processor failing but rather comunication between the GPU and the CPU (central processing unit). It is possible to bring these back to life but only a professional who knows their doing will be able to do so, Dell on the other hand will replace the GPU entirley.

    Regards.

Targus usb optical mouse not recognized by windows

    Hi there!

The Targus WIreless Mouse with Power management is supported by Windows and does not require additional drivers. To confirm that Windows has loaded the drivers:

    Click Start>Right-click My Computer>Select Manage

    Select Device Manager

Expand the Human Interface Devices section.

You should see an entry for USB Human Interface Device. If you don't see an entry, right-click on the Human Interface Devices entry and select Scan for hardware changes.

If you don't see any results, look for any yellow question marks or exclamation marks underneath the Unknown Devices category. You may find the mouse listed there. If so, right-click on it and select "Update Driver". Select "Yes, this time only", then click Next, leave the default selection as is and click Next. If the update fails, try again except this time, after the first "Next", select the advanced option, "Install from a list or a specific location", then click Next.

Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install".

If a default selection appears on the screen that follows, click Next and it should install. If successful, I recommend you restart your machine for any changes to take effect. If the installation isn't successful, you may need to submit a ticket on Targus' support site.

I hope this helps you! If you have any questions, feel free to reply.

Can I change the keyboard to accept a lighter touch. I have tendonitis and can't press the keys down hard. I prefer the laptop keyboard but then the screen is too low.

Unfortunately this is not something that can be changed. The force required and the amount of travel for a key press to be registered are physical properties of the keyboard.

To make matter worse, most keyboards will have similar properties. By requiring a certain amount of force, it helps to eliminate typing errors and also gives keyboards a standard 'feel'. This is not something that happens by chance - it is actually engineered into the keyboard.

I can only suggest that you try a few different keyboards and see if you can find one that suits you better. Ironically, some of the cheaper keyboards do require a much lighter touch. This is presumably because the manufacturers haven't bothered to engineer in that standard feel.

    I hope this helps,
