I did system restore and it removed the virus RECYCLE and disk defragmentation but it is still slow. Can you help? What should I do? My RAM is 256MB. Hard drive is 37.2 GB, CPU is 2.66GHz, WinXP SP3.
Hi' i want you to save all your important files in a flash drive or CD-DVD copy before you start working on it again. windows XP sp3 cannot solve this probs, and you did not mention about your video graphics of what its Specs.. but any way try to upgrade your RAM into 512mb-1gb much be better.and if still it does not work properly ,you have to start all over again by installing another OS winXP SP2 version 4.5-5.0.6.0.or the dark XP. Just PM me for further assistance . thanks

SOURCE: looking for compatible processor for biostar
Hi there.
Your board is a socket 775, also called Socket T or LGA775, is a Land Grid Array (LGA)
socket used for the most
recent generations of desktop Intel microprocessors starting from
Pentium 4 and up to Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Extreme families. The socket
LGA775 supports Intel CPUs from 1.8 to 3.8 GHz with Front-Side Bus
frequencies ranging from 533 MHz to 1600 MHz.
Its up to you which type of processor you get but now you have the general idea.
Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Open your computer BIOS. To do this press F8 when start-up and then once your in the BIOS settings, enter power management section and then look for any settings there relating to temperature automatic shutdown. Save changes and restart computer. If it doesn't solve the problem. Reset your motherboard BIOS to do this, open your computer casing and then look for the BIOS jumper setting, it should be near the CMOS battery. Refer also to the motherboard manual to do this.
Hope this could help..Please don't forget to rate me..:-) Thanks..
