Either radio is bad, or you have a loose connection to speakers, or poor ground connection at the radio. If a poor ground connection, the radio will intermittently not work also. Since radio continues to work, but sound does not, it is probably a bad audio circuit in the radio itself.

SOURCE: Honda radio says ERROR E

You only get like 10 tries this means you made to many attempts trying to put the wrong code in. Disconnect the battery cable and then try putting the code in the radio again.

SOURCE: 2004 Honda Accord Radio fuse blows

There was a recall for the 03-04 Accord radio. It had faulty circuitry that caused the screen to go dim. Check with Honda to see if they'll still honor the recall.

SOURCE: Radio code

I think if you remove the radio fuse for a few seconds it will start the code required sequence over. This next part from Honda owner's manual for 2002: "When the radio shows "code" then enter the five digit code using the radio preset buttons. If you make a mistake, do not start over--complete the five digit sequence, then enter the correct code next try. You have ten tries to enter the correct code. If you are unsuccessful in ten attempts, you must then leave the system on for one hour before trying again."

Sounds like a defective radio, look on ebay for a replacement. Easier to spend 20 bucks on someone else's cast off than get a new one or have that one fixed. After you have a replacement take it to a car stereo store and pay them a few bucks to put it in for you. If you know what you are doing just takes a few minutes.

My radio and c/d player will just shut off out of

There is a factory default with the radio circuit board in radios installed in 2003-2004 Honda Accords. Honda will replace or repair the radio free of charge on and extended warranty. The radio will eventually fail for good. I know, as the one in my 2004 Accord failed in March of this year. My Honda dealer replaced the radio with a reconditioned unit absolutely free. Contact you local Honda dealer.

How do I set the time in my 2004 Honda Accord

This is for a radio without a navigation system. Turn the ignigion on. Press and hold the SOUND button until it beeps, and the time begins to blink. Press the preset "4" button to change the hours. Press the preset "5" to change the minutes. When finished press the SOUND button to return display to normal function. If you look very carefully, you will notice the word "clock" molded into the plastic of the faceplate just to the right of the SOUND button. Similarly there is an "H" bellow the "4" and an "M" bellow the "5".

Radio code

If you have tried a few times before NOT entering the right code or making error when entering code. This radio will lock you out, here is what you do disconnect battery cable for 60 seconds (positive cable) or disconnect radio fuse. Then re-enter code make sure that you are pressing firmly on number and make sure that you enter correctly.(POWER ON RADIO SHOULD BE IN ON POSITION WHEN DOING THIS) If this doesn't work then you will need to go to HOnda and fora fee they will be able to get code. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA.
