Question about ViewSonic Projector PJ800 Multimedia Projector
Hi, I just bought a used PJ800 (in "working order" - supposedly!). When I got it home and turned it on, I discovered there are bright red vertical lines in the right third of the display. No adjustments to Color / Picture that I made had any effect. The lines are there with no input ("blank screen") and also with the input connected. Additionally, when any of the menu options is highlighted, it becomes unreadable - some sort of distortion / lines. Any ideas on what this is, how it could be fixed? Also, how do you reset this projector to Factory Settings (if that might be helpful?)... I don't see an option for that in any of the menus. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Of course, if you're not able or willing to replace components on the circuit boards, you can always replace the main board or power supply board after determining which is causing the problem. These parts should be available at your local Viewsonic service provider at a reasonable price.

This could be a problem on the Mainboard - because all the proccessing from your inputs is done on the Mainboard.
Try replacing it , I'm sure you'll have joy then.

Call your insurance agency as this should be covered under your homeowners policy. The main driver board is made by JeanCo of Taiwan and is not replaceable and cannot be ordered as a part.
