Question about LG Shine KE970 Cellular Phone
I just bought this 2 month old phone off of one the employees at Cingular. It's unlocked and I've been able to make calls but the service keeps going in an out and saying "Limited Service"! If I try to make a call it keeps saying "Emergency Only" Is this an issue I should talk to AT&T about or is it with my phone? I had the older version of the LG Shine and I had no problems with the service. Also, I wanted to use the internet on my phone to download and buy ringtone, I got it off the Cingular website and they send a text message for you to go to and get the ringtone. I got the text message from Cingular and then whenever I try to load the message it keeps saying "check settings." How do I fix this? I have always been able to check my mail from my phone and now I can't even use the browser or download a ringtone/graphic.
Thanks so much everyone!!

I'm glad that there are other people out there was having this problem. I spent about a total of 48 hours talking to the AT&T customer service to see what the hell the problem was with my phone not picking up service. The couldn't really help me. So...
I did some research and found that T-Mobile is the largest GSM provider for Triband and Quadband phones. I have the Lg KE970 and since it's a triband phone, I was really hoping that t-mobile would give me great service with it. NOW...
The next thing that I did was contacted T-Mobile to see if the coverage was good in my area (Lubbock, Texas) and they said it was excellent. So then I went from there.
The next thing that I did was went to wal-mart to pick a up a free sim card and as soon as I popped it it, BAM!!!, 5 bars. So right then and there, I called up T-Mobile to set up an account.
So yeah, if you didn't get any of that, just switch to T-Mobile and import your phone number there. PLUS, they have a limited time promotional offer where you get 1000 anytime minutes and free nights and weekend minutes for only $39.99.
SO switch to T-Mobile and get that plan. It's worth it and no matter what, you will still be on that plan. :-)
I hope that helped you guys!
