First use a different USB device to make sure the drive is working

1. Try plugging the flashdrive in the back of the computer. ( This is because some USB ports in front are not able to give enough power to power on a USB device that does not have its own power)
2. If you plug in the flashdrive and windows does not prompt for a driver nor indicate that it detects something plugged in you should make sure you try option 1 first and if that does not solve it try another computer. If the same problem occurs then the drive is defective.
3.Check if it is detected via Drive managemetn under Computer management under programs then system tools. ( Do this only if the drive is detected at all) then assign a drive letter to the device that is detected.

Try the flash drive on another computer or USB port. If it is not detected there as well, then the drive is probably faulty. If however, it gets detected on the other PC, then try the following:

The first action you should take to resolve a USB problem is to disable the Save Power option in the Device manager for the each of the USB Root Hub entries. Up to five entries called USB Root Hub can appear under Universal Serial Bus controllers. Open the Device Manager by entering devmgmt.msc in the Start => Start Search box. Open each of the USB Root Hub entries and disable the Save Power option under the Power Management tab by removing the check mark that enables it.

    Here
is another possible fix that might work. Plug the memory stick into a USB port, right
click with the mouse pointer over My Computer, in the window
that comes up, click Manage and then Disk Management
in the Computer Management window that come up. Is the memory
stick recognised in Disk Management? - Because it will often
show here even if it cannot be recognised in Windows. If it is not there, try
using another USB port. If it appears there, right click the
memory stick's drive letter under the Volume heading. Click on
Change Drive Letter and Paths, click on the Change
button and change it to, say, Z, or another letter towards the
end of the alphabet. Click Yes when a warning comes up telling
you what can happen if you change the drive letter, asking you if you want to
go ahead with it. Doing that won't do any harm to the files on the memory stick.
Close the Computer Management window and try to access the memory
    stick through My Computer.

Flexion1. Hi Mark. Still my problem with the Department assigned in place of flat PLU buttons are not resolved (Dept 1 assigned to flat PLU 007 & 014 .......upto Dept 10 assigned to flat PLU 62 &...

48 is the code for the PLU button, not a flat PLU. they are different.
To set a flat PLU, Turn key to program 4 subtotal Type the PLU number to be assigned using the numeric keys Type 063 Press the flat PLU location to save the PLU number there Press SUBTOTAL
If you get an error when you press the location, then you already have an amount in the totaliser (end of day report) for that location and you will need to do a PLU report and possibly a department report in both Z1 and Z2 modes to clear the totals of that function before you can allocate it. Let me know if you get an error and I'll help you through. Good to see that you have almost removed all of the old programming

You don't need to use the PLU button when operating in REG mode. The PLU button works like a flat PLU button except it allows code entry, so if you press flat PLU button 27, it is the same as typing 27 and pressing PLU. The PLU button is used to access the PLUs that aren't on the keyboard as flat PLUs. Since the machine has a lot more than the approx 70 flat PLUs on the keyboard, you would use codes and the PLU button to look up the others. The reason you needed to put the PLU button back was to allow us to use it in program mode where it is used to call up a PLU for editing (in this case to change dept link). The departments do not need to be on the keyboard. they are really just placeholders in the machine that total up the linked PLUs so you will only see them on your daily report when it has totalled at the end of the day. Try linking a PLU to a department as I showed you before. Then use that PLU in REG mode. Then do a daily report and it should show a sale in the department you linked the PLU to. I know it is confusing, but just link your PLUs at this stage and then you will start to see it happen as you use the machine and take reports.

Make a plu saying fried or poached for example, pgm 2, plu etc...Then make up a pulldown menu under pgm 3, and enter the fried or poached plu into that. Now under the plu Egg , in pgm 3, 3rd option down press yes use the first list link line to add the fried or poached.

Casio TE-2400 PLU programming

Hi. You have been given the wrong instructions. That is why it is now all screwed up. Pricing is dead easy. You have condiments setup because you have set key features in prog 3 mode. It shouldn't be too hard to fix. We'll start with prices: Turn key to Program mode Type the price (no decimal point) Press a PLU (item button) to set the price to. Press SUBTOTAL To remove condiments, you need prog 3 mode. While key is on program, press 3 then SUBTOTAL. The display must change to "P3" Now press 0 (zero) then one of the PLUs that has condiments set. Press SUBTOTAL to finish. It may remove the tax status, so turn back to REG mode and test the PLU. If the tax has gone, then reprogram the tax setting for that PLU. Let me know if you get stuck. Mark

TK 1550 casio

Hi.
I haven't worked with the 1550, but most Casios are the same.
Try this:

Turn key to program.
Press 0
Press the PLU that you want to set as open priced.
Press SUBTOTAL

That will set the price as 0 for that PLU. Now we set the feature for that PLU to allow manual pricing.

Leave key on program.
3
SUBTOATL
0
Press the PLU again
SUBTOTAL

Try that. If you had tax set to that PLU, you may need to set it again.

Laptop does not recognize the flash-drive after it's pluged in.

there are some reasons why it does not work.
1- You do not have correct drivers for the flash drive, and the computer will not recognize the product. simply update the driver for the flash drive and it will work. To do this go to the flash drive companies site and search for product driver updates
2- You have damaged your flash drive to the point where windows will not even recognize it. To prove this, plug multiple usb devices into the port and test if they work, and test the flash drive in different ports in your laptop and other PCs. If it is still not working, then it is faulty and will not work. Purchase a new one if this is the case

Hope This Helps
