I have a LG dryer model dlgx3002w not heating.

It sounds like you didn't install the ignitor properly. Try re installing the ignitor, because it's opening the gas valve saying it's hot enough to light, but if it's out of position, it won't create proper combustion.

Gas igniter not glowing

hello sparksjerry9. Nine times out of ten, if the gas igniter isn't glowing, it's burnt out. You will need to unplug the dryer and remove the burner assembly. This is how you remove the burner assembly:
1. unplug the dryer
2. shut off the manual gas valve, and disconnect gas pipe at the gas solenoid pipe.
3. disconnect wiring harness at plug.
4. remove the wires from the flame sensor
5. remove the mounting screws.

Usually you will see a yellowish burned area and a break in the ignitor when it's burnt out. If there's no obvious looking trouble, you can test it for continuity to be sure. No continuity means replace as well.

Here is a nice video to help you out. It is very good.
I really hope that this helps.

No heat..revolves, blows ok...is there a fuse that shuts off gas?

Theres a fuse that shuts off the igniter. It can be the igniter or thermal fuse. If you see the igniter glowing but no gas coming out replace the coils on the gas valve. If that fails replace gas valve

Not getting hot. vent line is free of lint. Maytag Atlantis/gas

Chances are the hot surface glow igniter is not working. Most likely it is burned out. Set the controls to dry in high heat and note if the glowing coil does in fact glow. If not, it needs to be replaced. Open the burner access door and then turn the dryer on. Watch inside the burner compartment for the glow coil to light up and glow. If all the controls are set correctly on the front control panel and the dryer is running, but the glow coil fails to glow, you've located the defective part. The glow coil will need to be replaced.
To remove the coil, turn off the gas first. Unplug the dryer from the electrical wall plug. Then remove the entire gas valve as an assembly. The nut on the gas valve to remove it from the gas supply pipe turns counter clockwise. There will be small sheet metal screws used to secure the plate to which the burner assembly parts are attached. The plate holds the entire assembly and is attached to the bottom of the dryer's cabinet.
Next, remove the glow coil from the burner assembly. Take the entire assembled part to the local appliance retail parts store for a replacement coil. Glow igniters are fragile and they break easily. Handle and install the new igniter carefully. Glow igniters are a non-returnable and non-refundable electric component.
Be advised that some new replacement igniters do not come with quick disconnect ends. In this case, it is OK to cut off the quick, disconnect from the old igniter and attach it to the new igniter. Simply clip off the wires several inches above, disconnect the old igniter, attach to the wires of the new igniter, and wire nut the two ends together. Repeat the process to attach the other set of wires and wire nut them together. There is no positive nor negative polarity to be concerned with.
Additional Suggestions: Read the manufacturer's online Web site for product information, problem possibilities, causes and solving methods, part locations, disassembly, reassembly methods, repair procedures, instructions, pictorials and schematics, which may be available online.

Gas Dryer won't stay hot

There is a thermoelectric eye that says it is OK to keep the gas burner on. If this sensor is defective or blocked from "seeing" the gas flame is properly lit, it will turn off the gas flow (safety) override solenoid. With the unit unplugged make sure that the optical path on the upper right (1:30 CW position) flame tube inside sensor window is clean. The rattle you hear is probably the safety gas shut-off solenoid engaging. If you need more help, please ask -- SWT
