    What kind of radio are you wiring this to? make sure you leave all the wires connected to the amp! That is your only chance of figuring out how to rewire it if its unlabeled. I would get a multimeter and check for continuity on each end of each wire. either that, or if its close enough, try pulling on each wire. Good luck, it can be a pain I know!

Yes, watch out for bad wiring! My father's 73 chevy caprice caught fire because of an amp that was wired in poorly. If you have a multimeter it shouldn't be too hard to find each speaker wire, as the speaker will show up with a certain impedance, Like 4 ohms of 8 ohms. Wiring it in phase is the real trick. For that you can only hope there is some sort of color code that the car came with, and there is a pretty good chance there is. I am assuming you are looking at the chopped radio wiring harness. There might be something like brown with a white stripe, and white with a brown stripe. It could also just be brown, and brown with a white stripe. You get the idea. They should all be wired in the same pattern, If they did not do this, then the some car manufactures just have better standards. I believe you can take a AAA battery and hit the two wires you know to be one speaker, and you should hear a pop from that speaker. I would be careful doing that if the speakers are really old, but it should be safe even then.
Its amazing what a 15 dollar multimeter can do in everyday electronics. My friend and I built an electric motorcycle, and obviously its very crucial for that, but I have used it for tons of things besides that. Especially old car wiring.

If your amp is 2 ohm stable it will do 75 rms to both sides maybe a little more.

What fuse do i use for my Jensen 2 Channel Bridgeable Amplifier with 300 Watts Peak? thank you.

Watts = Voltage x Current

300 = 12 x Current

Current = 25 amps

Sounds like a 30 amp slo-blo fuse would be about right -- you could start with a 25 amp and see if that holds it.

Protection light comming on.

I'd be inclined to check to make sure there isn't a short circuit somewhere in the output lines. Maybe a wire is crushed against the car's body or bare wires touching or badly fitted RCA plugs. All of these things could activate the protection circuit. If you have a multimeter it would make life easier but don't forget your speakers will show up as 4 ohms so that's not a short. BMW
