After playing a movie DVD on my PS3 yesterday night, it won't let me play multiplayer online on ANY of my games. I tried COD5 and COD4, and it would "stall" on both games when I selected Find a Match (it would stay on the loading screen indefinitely, though the PS3 itself wasn't frozen. I was able to return to the PS3 start screen).

I would start with a firmware update (2.60) and also a full system restore. That should fix the problem. Let me know. I'm a PS3 expert!

it's probaly with your xbox's eye, the eye is an optical reading device that reads the disks

1-turn off game console..............2-disconnect router for 20 seconds then reconnect............3-turn on game console..............4-go to setting click on network setting.................5-go to internet connection and press X and disable the connection wait 10 seconds and renable the connection and cod4 should work fine on line.............................

Ok do not worry this may mean two things crached hard drive or a corrupted hard drive all you have to do is turn it on but let the red ligth be on turn it on do not remove your finger from the button until it go's off again turn it on again keep your finger until it makes a sound but still do not remover your finger untill it makes two sounds after eachouther take your finger of fast nou a screen will apear say restore sestem untill your ps3 works again it take 1-3 trys and if nothing happens you must format it.HOPE I WAS USEFULL PLZZ RATE ME AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELS EMAIL ME TO [email protected] I DO PS1,2,3,DVD PLAYERS AND PC sorry for my spelling i am only 13 BUT PLZZZ RATE ME

I got the same problem and i need help bad
We're having the exact same problem. We can't play cod or bluray. Music CDs work but nothing else.
I am online but I can't see any of my friends. after a while they come on but all with gray smiley faces and can't see if they are online.
