Probably a intel 200 Mhz. What does it say on the CPU socket? socket 7? heres intel 200mhz should work http://www.pacificgeek.com/product.asp?c=201&s=1080&ID=33236&P=F
Look around ebay
http://shop.ebay.com/items/__intel-pentium-mhz_W0QQ_kwZintelQQ_kwZpentiumQQ_kwZmhzQQ_armZ1QQ_armiZintelQ20pentiumQ20250Q20mhzQQ_armmZ104QQ_ckwZ250QQ_fromfsbZQQ_ruuZhttpQ3aQ2fQ2fshopQ2eebayQ2ecomQ2fitemsQ2fQ5fQ5fintelQ2dpentiumQ2d250Q2dmhzQ5fW0Q51Q51Q5farrQ5A1Q51Q51Q5ffromfsbQ5AQ51Q51Q5ftrksidQ5Am270Q512el1313QQ_trksidZm270Q2el1313
around 200 - 300mhz.. it debends on what motherboard it is, I would say the 200mhz cpu will work.

I would personally give it away or throw away / recycle and buy a cheap desktop pc.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

What type of dual core processor can I use for my dc7600?

The motherboard for the dc7600 has an Intel LGA775 processor socket. However, not all LGA775 processors are compatible with the motherboard. For the small form factor, the following CPUs are supported: Intel Celeron D Processors:
Intel Celeron D 331 Processor (2.66-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Celeron D 336 Processor (2.80-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Celeron D 346 Processor (3.06-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium 4 Processors with HT Technology:
Intel Pentium 4 521 Processor (2.8-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB) , Intel Pentium 4 524 Processor (3.06-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Pentium 4 541 Processor (3.2-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 620 Processor (2.8-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 630 Processor (3.0-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 631 Processor (3.0-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 640 Processor (3.2-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 641 Processor (3.2-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 650 Processor (3.4-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 651 Processor (3.4-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 661 Processor (3.6-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB) or
Intel Pentium D Dual Core Processors:
Intel Pentium D 805 Dual Core Processor (2.66-GHz, 2x1MB L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 820 Dual Core Processor (2.8-GHz, 2x1MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 915 Dual Core Processor (2.8-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 925 Dual Core Processor (3.0-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 930 Dual Core Processor (3.0-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 940 Dual Core Processor (3.2-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 945 Dual Core Processor (3.4-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 950 Dual Core Processor (3.4-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB)

Unfortunately, these are old processors and I don't see any available new. Newegg.com lists a couple available as refurbished. You may be better off getting a new computer with either a Intel I3 or current AMD processor.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Power on ok but no display. ram not detect

First disable the onboard VGA then put in a known good AGP graphics card to see if you can get through the POST if your BIOS i rejects the RAM chips it should give you a short series of beeps this would indicate that the memory is not compatible as a rule of thumb PC2700 speed memory is for a motherboard and processor with a 133Mhz FSB this is quaded to 533MHz. you can usually place faster memory but not slower memory look at the table below for rated Frontside Bus Speeds.

CPU FSB DDR DIMM Type Memory Frequency
---------------------------------------------------------------------
800 MHz PC3200/PC2700*/PC2100 400/333*/266 MHz (min busspeed 200Mhz)
533 MHz PC2700/PC2100 333/266 MHz (min busspeed 133Mhz)
400 MHz PC2100 266 MHz (min busspeed 100Mhz)

IS DDR SDRAM IS DDR II RAM OR DDR

No. DDR replaced the SD in RAM so SDRAM and DDR RAM are two completely different things but each ram type has its own frequency hence you get SDRAM 100(mhz) and SDRAM 133(Mhz) just like you get DDR 1 RAM at 266(mhz) and 400(mhz) and DDR 2 RAM at 533(mhz) and 800(mhz). Therefore as you can see how these things differ, but if your mboard takes SDRAM that it can take and frequency of SDRAM but you must ensure that all the frequencies of all your RAM modules in all your slots correspond otherwise you will have problems, meaning that if you decide to use 133mhz RAM then all your RAM modules that you use must be the same. Let me know how you go. thanks

so this is the board..no doubt that the cpu fits and is a good choice for you.
however,if the old one works fine and this one ,even if it is new, does not wiork, the only rational conclusion is that this one is malfunctioning ,maybe from the factory,or maybe one of the pins doesnt make a real contact.
check very attentive the integrity of the pins and of the cpu socket in the motherboard.
there are also some cases that the motherboard doesnt support the high Frequence of the new processor, but that was a problem for the old PCs..I doubt you have it with your motherboard.
I suggest you to bring it back and to ask for a replacement,or at least go with it to  a specialised cervice and let them check it.
sorry for not beeing a huge help to you,so dont rate my answer if you dont feel to..
bye bye and good luck..keep me up to date with your situation
bye
