My phone Ten X500 shuts down by itself when i every i carry it in my pocket ( but with out squeezing it) & i have to reboot it every time. Is it battery problem. Thanks in advance

I am not sure if this has been solved for you, but I have had the same problem it wad due to loose pin which is designed to turn off the device when the back cover is removed. The solution to my problem was a piece of paper which I plug into the hole with the pin. SOLVED!

I bought a cheap Axim X5 PDA and I believe it is missing the top "door" but I am not sure, as I bought it from ebay, and don't know anything else about it. Also, it needs a back up battery cover. I am...

Dell Axim5 Top Door is for Compact Flash car. the Battery Backup is the one to maintain the memory alive, but if you still have main battery good is supposed the memory remain until you go out of battery. I have one with some reason the battery backup do not function, so I have to backup all data.

The battery is pathetic. Need to recharge twice a day. Any suggestions for a better or different battery? Moreover How do I use GPS on this set

If your battary runs out really fast it could be that your bluetooth is switched on. With bluetooth on this phone uses a lot of power and the battary is empty really quick. The HTC Touch p3450 has no built in GPS. You need to buy an external GPS device and connect to it. How to do this can be found in the manual of the GPS device.

HTC Touch Flo 3450: Battery is pathetic

Well you should make sure that your wi-fi is disable because enabling wi-fi consume alot of battery and disable bluetooth as well. Do not overcharge battery more than 2 to 3 hours.
Regarding GPS, No, the HTC Touch P3450 doesn't have the GPS hardware. It cannot support GPS

Having trouble turning it on and when finally did get it on (yes I did charge overnight), the GPS program HGIS is no where to be found. Thank you so much...I am in a new job and I need this to be working.

Hello There

This is a common problem with PDA's. When the battery dies any additional software you install gets wiped off and thats whats happened with your GPS software, you will have to reinstall it, but I would recommend installing it on the memory card and not on the PDA, this way even if the battery dies you don't need to keep reinstalling your GPS software.

With regards to the battery, the best way of checking the effctiveness of the battery is to see how long it will work for if it is around 10-20 minutes then your battery is on its way our and will need to be replaced.

Hope This helps. Please don't forget to rate me.

Phone wont turn on

hey there,I think i've just found the solution, there is a wee brass terminal inside the phone above and below the camera iris when you take the cover off and inside the cover there are little silver receiving terminals, those were needing cleaned and the back shoved fully on, when i did this the phone started straight away.

I think that these additional terminal point complete the baterry circuit and let the phone know the back is on.

Dead - no response

Hi, I am looking for a battery related problem solution on my own Axim X51v, but it is different than yours. One thing I wanted to share with you is that I know if the battery cover lock button is not in the locked position (slid to the right) it activates the "battery door switch". I have occasionally received error messages on the Axim when I turn the screen on and it has missed sounding an alarm. it will say "the battery door switch was open, so the system was put into "sleep mode" to preserve data from being lost" or something like that. So I believe that the position of the latch is crucial. In my case, I think the switch gets dirty. When I get the warning, I slide the switch back and forth a few times and then it stops bugging me for sometimes several months.

So, if you do not have the cover on, then your latch is probably open, and the door switch will be sensed as open. I am not sure what Sleep Mode really does, but I'll bet it will make the Axim appear dead. At the very least, try sliding that latch back to the right. However, I would replace the door, because only friction actually holds the battery in place unless the door is on. It could fall out when you least expect it. Then I think you would lose any unsaved data, and if your internal backup battery was not up to the task, you could lose everything. I hope this info helps you out.

I'll go post my own problem now.

IPAQ hw6515 reboots by itself

I had same problem.
Culprint was in the back cover.

Above SIM holder is a hidden switch what will connect the backup battery when the main battery is removed.
Small hook (high up) in the cover will trigger the switch. When cover get loose the switch will change it's position.

I put small piece of shrinking tube in it what will extend it 0.5 mm. That did the trick. No more unscheduled reboots.
