Question about LG 32LB4D 32 in. LCD HDTV
I have a 32 in LG with a Dish Network HD box via HDMI connection. The TV has worked great for the past year or so. Just recently the sound has been intermittent, but only after the TV has been on for several minutes. This intermittent sound eventually leads to no sound at all. I've switched out both the Dish Network box and the HDMI cable, separately...same result. I've also tried all three HDMI inputs on the TV...same result. Currently, I have an S-video and component audio out and it seems to be working fine. I'm assuming there is a problem either with my TV or the communication between the box and the TV when connected with an HDMI. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

pull the plug on your tv and cable box for 1 minute and start fresh. glitches like this happen all the time with hdmi. if this does not cure, the error message you get needs to be posted.

one quick fix you can try. plug in the HDMI cable, slect a digital audio sound output from the sound settings on your machine, then leave it connected and restart it. It just might work.

it sounds like a refresh issue, double check you selector and make sure it fits the refresh of the tv. i had this once with a sharp where the tv was 120hz and the selector was 60 and it created a no signal and when it did come in it was jumpy. if you have a 120 tv then selector should be the same.
