Make sure you have the audio cables connected to the OUTPUT on the tv & the INPUT on the surround sound(from your desciption sounds like you have them reversed)hope this helps, thanx for using fix-ya,please rate all replys

Tring to connect my samsung tv to my samsung home cinema and having problems

Hi,here is my simple solution...
to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your
samsung home cinema receiver,
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
samsung home cinema RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection..
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
samsung home cinema Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (TV tuner, satellite , Xbox ..etc.) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

How connect toshiba tv to samsung home cinema whit hdmi? i connect but still no sound. i want watch tv but listen in cinema sistem

the hdmi jack on the tv is an INPUT jack, not an output. to use your reciever for tv sound, you have to find the audio output on the tv (most do not have an audio out, but some higher end tv's have a fiber-optic digital out, which may or may not be compatible with your surround sound reciever)

if your tv does not have an audio out, the only way to get the tv sound into the styereo is to use a tuner box, like a cable box or satelite box. tuner boxes always have either hdmi or stereo audio outputs.

to use hdmi with your surround sound, you are supposed to run HDMI OUTPUT from the tuner box or disk player into the HDMI INPUT of the stereo, and then run the HDMI OUTPUT of the stereo into the HDMI INPUT of the tv.

I have a new Samsung 47 in LCD and Kenwood DVD purchased in 2005. I am trying to hook both up to get surround sound from my Kenwood VR-606. My signal is coming from a HD cable box. I'm using HDMI from the...

Without additional equipment it can't be done. As i see your VR-606 pure analog device, and you trying to somehow use 5.1 sound from HD STB that is on HDMI put on RCA connectors of your VR-606. It is impossible without converter from HDMI to Analog audio or something likethis, best way to buy new receiver with HDMI input and TV neither Receiver with HDMI out oportunity. Then you will have your home cinema. In your current setup probably you can play only with stereo from your stb.

No sound on tv but have sound on dvd and radio through my home cinama i wont to listen to the tv through the home cinema but cant get it

What is the source of your TV signal? Cable? Sattellite? Are you using the receiver in your tv or a cable/sattellite receiver box?

Whatever the source of your TV signal - it will probably have several choices of output. Make sure you have that connected to the tv-input on your home cinema. Then make sure that when TV is selected on your home cinema that the audio format specified matches what you hooked up i.e. analog (the red and white cables), optical or coax.
