Rewire old aladdin lamps

I have several lamp sets that need rewiring. They are vintage lamps and have lighting hardware that is different. I need someone who knows how to work on these lamps. I also have several small electric fans that need to be rewired and oiled. Can you help me find someone in my area to help me? I live in 28428 zip code and willing to travel 35+ miles. Wilmington, nc 20403 is a large city near me.

SOURCE: 3 speed ceiling fan

I could not understand that "all the three positions are on high speed and off" ? How can be it possible that all the (three) positions give high speed and at the same time no speed (off)? Please explain.
What I feel that the speed controller be in series with the fan. "in series" mean that the wire should come from phase or line, go to the speed controller , then go to the fan, then finally go to the neutral point. This completes the circuit.
I will be happy to know more about this if it could not solve your problem.

I don't have a lot of money and can't afford new cords for my reclining sofa and love seat and was wondering if I can wire them to an old lamp cord that I have sitting around. And if so how.

I see no problem rewiring with a different cord but make sure the new cord you use is as heavy a wire as the one you took off. Cords come in different gauges for the load Lamp cord may be too light to carry the electrical load.

Rewire lamp

It depends on the problem. Common problems such as bad sockets can be repaired by a handyman. Lamp sockets, switches and heat resistant fixture wire are readily available from big box stores, local hardware stores, etc. If the problem is related to the house wiring, you need to contact an electician.

Take it to a lamp repair shop and have them look at it and rewire if necessary. It may need standard sockets for what we know as screw in light bulbs installed.

98 chevy silverado:

There is a short in the electrical circuit that is protected by the fuse. If this fuse protects the tail lamps then there is s short in the wireing from the fuse to the tail lamps, the insulation on the wires could be could be broken and shorting againt the bodywork.
If you cannot find the fault, the quickest solution is to rewire the faulty circuit and bypass the faulty wiring.
If you cannot DIY then you need an auto electrican to find the fault and fix the problem.
