Your firewall could be blocking the print communication. The article below will guide you on how to allow full access to all Lexmark software and printer communication processes in the program rules/permissions for your firewall.

How to allow ping (ICMP Echo) request through Windows 7 Firewall

If you need to know how to access the Windows 7 Firewall and the basic info on the operation of the firewall the link below will cover this for you.

http://www.fixya.com/support/r5088048-check_windows_7_firewall_settings

The below process will cover enabling ping requests through the Windows Firewall.

1. After you are in the Windows 7 Firewall you will need to select "Advance Setting" on the left hand side of the window.

f256e34.png
2. Click on Inbound Rules

0cc705b.png
3. Next you will need to scroll down the list until you see "File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)".

Note in Windows 7, Microsoft moved the rule under the File and Printer Sharing section. So if you are trying to find the rule for Windows Vista you will want to look under Networking.

4. After you find the listing you will need to right click and select Enable Rule.

f84588c.png
Note you will see the listing for each network profile. So you will want to do this for each one. Also at this time you do not need to enable the ICMPv6-In rule because ICMPv6 is not current used as a standard.

5. Click on the red "x" to close the Windows Firewall with Advance Security window.

You should now beable to send ping requests through the Windows 7 Firewall.

To Block Access to a program http://download.mcafee.com/products/webhelp/4/1033/?appid=VSO&applist=MSC,VSO,mpf,MSAD,MSK,MPS,mnm,nmc&topic=6FE31471-36A8-441E-B337-95D38BA0AFAB#GUID-6FE31471-36A8-441E-B337-95D38BA0AFAB.html
Maybe you could Select YMSG 11 and change Access.
Block access for a program You can block a program from having incoming and outgoing Internet access. This is an important option for users who want full control of their PCs, allowing access only for the programs they trust, and blocking everything else.
Ensure that blocking a program does not interrupt your network connection or any other program that requires Internet access to function properly. Certain programs, like web browsers, need access to the Internet to function. Task 1 Open the Firewall settings page. arrow-right.gif How? 1 On the Home Page, click Firewall. 2 Click Settings. 2 Click Program Permissions. 3 Select a program with Full or Outgoing access. 4 Click Edit. icon_tip.png To select a new program, click Add, then browse to and select the program you want to add permissions for. 5 Under Access, click the arrow to pull down the menu, and select Block. 6 Click Apply.

Cant get past personal info page to activate skycaddie golf range finder

Prior to activating your SkyCaddie, you will first need to install a simple software program to your Windows-compatible PC. This software program, referred to as SkyCaddie Desktop, will allow your SkyCaddie to communicate with the SkyGolf website. This program allows you to DirectConnect with the SkyGolf website, so you can personalize your SkyCaddie, download courses and periodically update your SkyCaddie’s software. NOTE: If your computer is protected by a firewall, it may need to be set up to allow our SkyCaddie software programs to access the web. If your firewall software displays any warning messages during the activation process, simply indicate that you wish to allow access. if the software is not installed the unit will not get activated Activating Your SkyCaddie Within 30 days, please register your SkyCaddie, create a “My SkyCaddie” online account and select a SkyPlayer Club Membership Plan by going to the SkyGolf website at www.skygolf.com. On startup, i get the message: Isass.exe - Access Denied

Information on lsass.exe - http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/lsass.exe.html

Are you running a firewall (such as zonealarm)? It might be your firewall may be blocking a legit attempt by lsass.exe to run. You may have to add this to your firewall's allowed list. Of course if you are not running a firewall or if your firewall is already set to allow lsass you may have even greater problems.

You may want to post more information to get a better answer on this.

Connecting Ninentendo DS with Nintendo WiFi USB connector

The Windows XP Service Pack 2 firewall is actually Norton Personal firewall re-branded with a simplified front end, Microsoft couldn't get they're own firewall to do the job properly (got to love MS quality!). As such he Windows XP Service Pack 2 firewall will offer you as much protection as any other commercial firewall out there. Your Nintendo WiFi USB adapter uses soft AP, in other words it uses a software WiFi Access Point to connect your DS to the web, as well as being able to make a connection to the web it also needs to make a connection between your PC and the DS and you need to think of these as separate networks because that is in-fact what they are. Make sure the second network is allowed in your McAfee firewall, that the Nintendo software is allowed to act as a server and that it is allowed to serve DHCP, in other words that it is allowed to assign IP addresses. The McAfee User Interface is about as friendly, intuitive and helpful as a dead squirrel so this may be a good time to do a bit of reading on ts.mcafeehelp.com
