Yes. Just buy a pay as you go sim card and pop it in the phone but if you buy as sim from another network you may need to get the phone unlocked. What I mean is, if you are on Orange, for example, you will be able to use an Orange pay as you go sim but if the new sim is from T-Mobile you might need to get your phone unlocked

hi,

having a pre-paid sim usually doesn't require any contracts.
you can directly ask for one and also that is depending on where you are located.

Some countries require their sim cards to be registered and you have to call an operator to have it activated. some countries also doesn't require any registration. its like plug and play.

My phone says unregisterd sim and i dont know what to do i have a motorola razr v3 black

Usually you get that from expired pre-paid sim cards, or cancelled sims.
Check with your operator, try the sim in a different phone.

Got a motorola razr v3 on ebay. Not reading SIM card.

It may be caused that when you take out sim from old phome it has damaged, try for old one is it still working? if not then your sim is dead, also old phones made SIM-s to be bend and such SIM-s have difficlt electrical connection with new phones.
Also find if "this sim only" is activated in your phone.
It must give you signal, Insert sim card, or insert proper sim. If insert sim card warning card is damaged or have not enough good connection, if another, then this sim only is activated you first you must unlock it to work .

Razr v3 how to transfer phone# to sim card?

Go to your address book. Find the listing you want to transfer to your SIM card. Select it and then go to EDIT. Now scroll down to where it says STORE TO:
It will either say PHONE or SIM. If it says PHONE you will need to select CHANGE. This will allow you to select between PHONE and SIM. Change it to SIM and click on SELECT. It is now saved to your SIM card.
Have a great day!
