Question about Bosch 24 in. SHX46A05 Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

SHX46A05UC won't complete cycle found a small metal ball in catch

We went away for a couple of days, I turned on the DW before leaving. When we came back, it was still making the whirring sound - like trying to drain the water. I briefly noticed the lights (I think many of them were on but didn't pay much attention to it at the time). The dishes looked clean, but I don't think it had kicked in the dry cycle. I opened the catch at the bottom and found a small metal ball (bearing?) and a flat black disk in the catch. I cleaned it out, restarted the machine on a quick wash cycle and a few hours later, itwas still going - it usually takes about 1.5 hours to finish. Same as before. Any ideas? Thanks.
Bosch SHX46A05UC about 3.5 years old.

my 2 years old bosch dw SHX46A does not shut off- keep running, after cancelling the cycle, I found there is detergent left over, any idea?

I have the same model and for about 3 years as well. I also have this problem. After searching on the internet, I found out that this is something leaking and the float kicks in to stop the water from flooding. The repairman replaced motor and pump and something else. It got a little bit better, but still leaks. He didn't know what else to do now.

SOURCE: Dishes are not coming out fully clean

first if the pump is running and you can hear it washing it should clean now hot water cleans dishes not the washer the hotter the better at least 130-135 degrees modern dish washers use less water than older models so if you don't get the water as hot as you can stand it at the sink before you turn the washer on you can fill it with cold water second its important that you use jet dry and if your dishes aren't dry at the end of the cycle then on most washers you can turn the disp up for more hope that helps let me know

SOURCE: Bosch shv56c03uc/114 Water is not draining

Check drain hose first.

If you do not find any blockage, then you will need to access the pump, remove pump hose and look for blockage in there.

If there is no blockage at all, then either the water level switch, a faulty pump, a wiring problem, or a faulty timer board can be cause the machine not draining.

SOURCE: My Bosch shx46A05UC no longer will drain.....it

I ran into the SAME problem with my Bosch SHX46A06UC /21. The problem ultimately ended up being a clog in the air gap vent, (meaning, SOMEBODY ran the dishwasher without the bottom filter being in place or not in place properly). Remove the air gap cover and upper surface nut to drop the air gap vent into the area under the sink. Disconnect the hoses from the air gap vent filter (placing a bucket under the hose from the dishwasher). Run the drain cycle on the dishwasher. The washer should drain into the bucket and let you know that your pump works and that there are no clogs or kinks in the drain hose. (This will also remove the clog if so). The air gap vent's smaller hose connection is MOST LIKELY where your clog is. Look at the upper end of the air gap vent. You'll see a couple of clips on opposite sides of each other, that hold the air vent cap in place. Using a small screwdriver, (or your hands if you can), depress the clips (or one at a time) to get to the point where you can pull the vent cap off the filter. Either use water or a thin, long blade screwdriver to force any objects out of the filter. You should now have full flow through both branches of the filter. Using water and a rag, clean the vent cap and filter. Mount the air gap vent filter back onto the sink. Reconnect the hoses and remove the dishwasher's internal filter(s) and clean them as well while you're at it, making sure to remove any debris that might remain underneath the filter and has the chance of clogging the unit again.

Run the washer again to test. You should be good!

Cheers!

Likely your drain hose goes into your garbage disposer and does not have a rise before it enters the disposer. You will get backwash from your disposer falling back into your dw causing the odor. Simple fix is to make sure the drain hose travels upward a couple inches as it comes out of the disposer. Thanks

"kitchen aid model KeBS107SSS00 enter probe temperaure keeps coming on. I am not using a probe and it won't let me enter convec or normal cooking temperatures." Not my wording but it was the exact problem...

This happened on our Kitchenaid electric stove/oven as well! I unplugged the oven, opened up the outside panel of the oven (same side as the temp probe jack) and found a small metal tab adjacent to the jack. I opened that up to reveal the jack surrounded by moist fiberglass sheeting. A boiling pot of beans had over-flowed on that side of the range the day before. Moisture had gotten down in there and was crossing the connections. Once I dried off the exposed metallic parts and moved the moist fiberglass away from the connections, problem went away. Hopefully, a good self-cleaning cycle will dry up that moisture.

Bosch dishwasher shx46a06uc-30

the unit will try to complete the last command it was engage in before it went in the overfill safety mode. you must perform a cancel drain cycle to reset unit to default setting. Remember the drain cycle is 2 min and must be completed to reset main control. however if it went into a overfill status you have a leak and it generally comes from the pressure chamber on the lefthand side of unit where the water enters tub

Rotten Egg Odor from washer

The odor that you are experiencing may be from the growth of mold. Inside the washer, some small pools of water may be left standing and is harboring mold spores. Even though you may operate the washer regularly, the mold spores are not being washed away.I have a couple of tips that might help to eliminate odor issues in your washing machine. First, and the most effective in my research is to, leave the lid, or door to the unit open. By leaving the door open, it promotes air circulation and evaporation of standing water. The reduction in odor, will occur quickly and dramatically.

My second tip is to run the washer empty for a quick rinse cycle. Add an entire cup of bleach at the start of the cycle. The bleach is effective at destroying organisms, such as mold and bacteria. However, running it once will not be completely effective. I suggest pouring another cup of bleach into the wash tub, after the cycle has completed. This will leave bleach as the standing pool and should prevent the growth of mold or bacteria. However, if you do this, before doing a load of laundry you should run an empty rinse cycle again, to avoid damage to the clothes from the bleach left standing in the wash tub.

NOTE(Follow the procedure correctly as stated. If the issues persist, this may lead to a deceased rodent, or small mice that has crawled into the unit to die. This is highly uncommon, but possible)

Car kit mode

ok take a paper clip, and lightly graze it inside the chargerport of ur phone, slowlymove it left and right, lightly rub it against the top half of the little piece inside the charger port, look at yr creen andwait for car kit to turn off. if ur phone turns off, dw. turn it backon adn dont rub the area u were rubbing wen it turned off.
once car kit turns off, it most likely will turn back on, repeat thisstep. eventually,it will go away forever.
it took about a day for the car kit to stay away completely for me.
trust me, i've been were u are. i tried everything and it never worked. then wen all hoped seem lost, at 11:30 at night, i found this and it worked beautiful.
also, u dont need to use a paper clip, anything metal will work. but paper clips the best because of there size.=]

The bad news is its probably scoobied. Open your ipod up by using two small screwdrivers inserted between the metal and plastic parts of the casing and gently prise apart. Disconnect the hard drive and put to one side. Then there are some small screws that hold the top part of the casing on, unscrew these and lift the plastic cover away from the logic board and chassis.

Leave your ipod and all the bits open in a warm dry place for a couple of days to make sure it is fully dry. Then reassemble and try charging it.

As I say its probably knackered but you might get lucky.

NEFF S5456 DISHWASHER

Have you tried it on a different program? I have nearly always used the AUTO program - however i have used the 50 degree program 3 times now and it completes the (much longer) wash without sticking on one minute. Will try it on auto again to see what happens. I found it useful to turn the end-of-wash buzzer on (to loud) to remind me when (if) it completes the program.
