How do the side rails of a eddie bauer play yard stay up?

I have this the Eddie Bauer Pack & Play too. The directions says it doesn't matter which sides you pull up first but it does... you have to first pull up the 2 short sides, then you can pull up the long sides and push the button on the bottom to get the whole thing secure.

I don't have a solution, but I'm having trouble! I'm tryin to take down my Eddie Bauer pack n pla! Everything is doing right until I try to fold it up. The bottom is doing right but the top 4 corners will not come together! Why is it doing this and what do i need to do?
