Question about Hampton Bay 54 In. 5-Blade Fan, Chestnut, Autumn Mist

Open Question

Fan support outlet box, 52'' ceiling fan

Was given a 52" Hampton Bay ceiling fan, but did not have the mounting bracket to mount on the ceiling. It is Model#069737, SKU#082392735548 if that will help.

It slides in above right above the ball, in the mounting bracket where the canopy is. You may have to kind of encourage it to go in there, and you will need to push wiring off to the sides and out of the way to help it have clearance to get in there.

SOURCE: Cover does not attach to the universal bracket I purchased

Buy a drill and drill bit and make a hole in the bracket where needed. To make installation easier, use a larger that needed drill bit and add washer to screw, won't look as professional but you are not a professional anyway. Who goes around looking at ceiling fan mounts anyway???

hello d,
1. yes, with the proper rod, longer wires(3,4) and the blades must be over 2.5 metres (8 foot) above the floor.2. you need the proper type box; the mount/s and ball; the longer wires (3,4)with slender but connertors; and especially the safety pins, etc. with the proper rod, the fan will hang straight. and about 3 chock hours to do this here task. hope this helps.

I suppose you can mount it as close to the ceiling as you want as long as the blades do not hit the ceiling. It being that close will not allow the air to flow as well if it was 6 to 12 inches lower.

Installing a Hampton Bay Trieste ceiling fan, and I don't know where to locate the remote receiver. It doesn't seem to fit in the canopy or the fan base. It is rectangle shaped about the size

If it's a thin rectangular receiver (probably has UC7067 printed on it) It "slides" into the mounting bracket up by the electrical box. If this doesn't help you can call toll free 1-866-600-3267 at http://www.fanmanlighting.com/default.asp and ask for Jack Jr

EXCESSIVE FAN WOBBLE AT HIGH SPEED Hampton Bay Model Edisto 844 854

Two things you need to check: One or more of the fan blade irons may be loose or the ball on the end of the fan motor's mounting rod is not properly fitted into the ceiling-outlet bracket. If it only happens on high speed, I'm betting on the mounting rod ball not sitting in the ceiling bracket, properly.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

How to install a hampton bay ac416 fan

To give you details it may be necessary to get more information from you .. how many switches will be controlling this fan? how many and what color wires are there at the ceinling box? does this fan have a light kit with it?
The typical install is to screw the mounting plate or bracket to the ceiling box. Then the fan is assembled with the canopy cover placed over the down rod, if there is one. The fan usually hung from the mounting bracket and the wiring completed, and the canopy c over slid up and secured.
If a flush mount then the fan is humng on the plate and the wiring completed , then the fan secured to the bracket .. Any thoughts?

Need to uninstall the fan as it has become a bit loose from the ceiling

The first thing to do is loosen the ceiling canopy, there is usually a couple screws at the top edge of the canopy. then you want to disconnect the wiring, do not forget the green wire also. then depending on the mounting type, it may just lift out, one side of the mounting bracket has a space to allow the ball to pass thru. Or you may have to unscrew a couple mounting screws at the ends iof the mounting bracket

No outlet box in ceiling, it has a hook is there a special bracket, my home was built in the 1940s and the ceiling fan in the kitchen was hung with a hookin the ceiling, there is no electrical outlet in...

They sell brackets at home stores, but I have nailed a 2x4 between ceiling joists & mounted an electrical box at proper height. If you aren't good with electrical, get an electrican to run power for you.
The hanger must be SOLID & the wiring GOOD.
