I have a fisher and paykel top loader model MW512au. The washing machine is not letting any hot or cold water in..before it was just letting in hot water and I had to put in the cold water by hand. But now it is not even letting hot water in. It is completing all the cycles except when there's no water in the machine and then it stops. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Check the filters on the ends of the water hoses that connect to the machine, sounds like they are blocked

I only have a hose attached to the cold water tap and inlet valve of my Fischer & Paykel top loader washing machine as I only do cold washes, this hadn't been a problem until recently, when th

it could be that the water level got to high and came out of the valve you could try putting a cap on the valve and see if that works and if it does not then it might be a bigger issue.

My top loader washing machine is not getting enough water-trickling only on cold water (hot is ok).

The inlet valve has failed & needs to be replaced unless you don't use hot water then you could just swap the hoses over.

We have a fisher and paykel MW512AU toploader washing machine. it turn on lets you select whatever and start it's wash then does these little beeps the lights on the wash progress flash depending on where...

If it is a musical rippling sound & hot & cold lights are flashing that usually indicates it is not getting water quickly enough. You can open the lid while it is filling & look. If water is just trickling in and taps are fully open then replace the inlet valve with a new one.

You are better off swapping the valves over in the machine until you can buy a replacement valve. I've done this for a month or so until I replaced the valve. Works as long as you only use a cold wash and your cold water is not too cold as to make the machine want to add some hot. If it does this then simply press start to clear the fault.

Water is not filling up.

turn off water
disconnect fill hose from tap
examine screen inside hose end for 'muck' blockage
clean screen
reconnect hose
test washer
if no fill
replace water solenoid valve

note: cold water valve fails first, it gets most use,
if only using cold water, you can simply swap the hot and cold hoses at the tap, and swap the hot and cold electrical connectors on the solenoid valves, the hot solenoid is no the cold one and the washer can be used, cold only, for about as long as it has operated thus far..

Fisher Paykel eco smart washer top loader

If you talk with the company, they'll explain that their machines are designed to clean clothes in cold and warm water and that, in most instances, they don't feel "hot" water is at all necessary; especially if you use the soak cycle. You have to remember that the company is all about eco solutions and energy efficiency. They included the 'no hot water setting' work around just to as a customer accommodation. I haven't found that it takes all that much pressure, you just need to keep them depressed long enough for the unit to get the message and signal that it has.
