These connections are inputs.

I don't have a specific location for the manuals. Try the home page of Magnavox.

Look first to see if same issue when playing a DVD etc connected to a rear audio/video input.

It may be the audio circuit in the set---got a model number?

You should remove the back of the TV where the mirror is located to get access to the front screen.
If you could give the model number of your TV to see if I can find a service manual.

Dvd/vcr recorder magnavox model mwr20v6, i got probelm hooking up my dvd/vcr recorder to my cable converterbox an tv , because i broke the antenne/ out socket on the back of the unit, how can i get it to...

Hi,If I understood correctly you broke antenna out socket of Cable box..ok no problem, your TV and cable box should have other jacs/socket for this connection as well..
Take the A/V output of your cable box into TV possibly with RCA cables..than you can select the channel thru Cable box on TV ..(AV mode needs to be selected on TV )

** in order to listen and watch your
magnavox DVD 's "2xRCA audio" and "1x RCA Video" cables "OUT" should go to Tv or Cable box "IN" connections separately ..("IN" goes to "OUT" of other ..pls remember,Always reverse connected ) (audio will come thru Receiver and TV.)

Since you successfully connected your Receiver to play video on TV (one way only ) ,here is the second reverse action if you wish to listen or RECORD a program on your TV on
magnavox
** you need to connect "Audio Output " as can either be : RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" or "SCART "connector " of your TV or Cable box .( every TV -cable box has different type of Audio out jacks )
** to "iRCA nput or "Optic Cable input"
of your
magnavox (whichever you want ,based on the necessary cables on your hand )

There you go..Tv/Cable box video and sound are both on the
magnavox for recording..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.

Component (Red and White for audio \ Blue, Red, Green For video)
SVideo
HDMI?

Can't receive pic and sound with converter box.

Connect the RF output of the Magnavox to the VHF/UHF (ANT) input at the back of the TV. Select channel 3 or 4 on the TV. An alternate is to connect the component output (red-white-yellow) to the Audio/Video In jacks at the front of the TV (the red or the white would be left unconnected) and use the TV/Video button on the remote to select that input.

My akai receiver to my vcr

hi my name is mark, if you have cables. first unplug the power cords to the vcr and the receiver. on the back of the vcr there will an input and an output audio and video connectors. if your vcr does not have them you will need a new vcr that does. if you just want sound, find the Output connectors. there will two. they will be idenified as Audio OUT. plug one end of the red plug into the one labeled Audio R OUT, then the white in the one labeled Audio L OUT. if you are connecting the video up connect the yellow plug to the connector labeled Video OUT. the other ends connect to the receiver, on the back of the reciever find connectors labeled vcr or dvd AUDIO IN. then connect the red plug to the connector labeled R IN and the white plug to the connector labeled L IN.if you are just hooking up sound you done. to hook up video find vcr dvd Video IN and connect the yellow plug to the Video IN. on reciever. if you want the reciever to switch the TV you also need to run a yellow video cable from Video Out from receiver to Video IN on back of TV. when finished plug in vcr and receiver. select dvd or vcr on receiver to listen ot vcr on the receiver i dont know what model you have or it features i hope this helps thanks for your question.

Here is a link to the manual, but it is a little dense:
http://www.funai-corp.com/6pdf/om/MWR10D6.pdf

Now that the digital conversion is imminent, nothing will ever be simple again.
This is not the ONLY way to record with this machine, but here is one way: (I'm also assuming that you have a cable or satellite BOX - if you don't, let me know):
1. Connect a red, white, and yellow cable from a red/white/yellow OUT of your cable or satellite box to the Video IN and Audio IN of the Magnavox.
2. Connect a second red, white, and yellow cable from the Video and Audio OUT of the Magnavox to a red/white/yellow IN of your TV (most TV's only have INs and not OUTs, hence they may be unmarked either way - but this situation is rapidly changing).
3. Change your TV to the channel that corresponds to the red/white/yellow port - some TV's label it "AV1," "AV2" etc. - others label it "Video1", "Aux 1" etc. - I would have to know the exact model # of your TV to be sure.
4. As long as you can see the channel that you are trying to record on the TV screen, you can just press REC on the Magnavox with a blank DVD inserted.

Like I said, this is not the ONLY way, but it is probably the simplest.
