It may have a crack in one of the components, such as mtoherboard. It may be over heating, or your power supply is broken.

To connect to the Internet, certain hardware and services are needed, which are listed below. Without any one of these items, connection to the Internet is not possible.
  • Broadband Internet Service (also known as Internet Service Providers or ISP) - Telephone companies (also known as DSL, which uses a telephone line) and cable TV companies usually offer Internet service.

  • Broadband Modem - Normally, a broadband modem can be rented or purchased from the ISP.

  • Computer with a Network Adapter - This is usually a device located inside the computer.

  • Broadband Router - A router is used to connect all of your computers to the network (but is not needed for a single computer). The router also provides a way to connect to the Internet through the Broadband Modem.

Computer wont start

Several different hardware failures can cause this type of issue. The first step that should be taken is to verify that there are no lose or disconnected wires coming from or going to the computer. If when starting the PC your getting no power than there is an issue with the power supply. If you are getting power to the PC than you should listen for the beep code on start up. 1 beep after starting the computer indicates that the power on self test (Also known as the POST) has completed with out issue. When getting any other type of beep code you should research the meaning of the code. Beep codes change from company to company. The best way to identify the meaning of a beep code is to type the manufacture, model and number of beeps into Google. Another possible issue is that your hard drive is corrupt. If this is the case than your computer will pass the power on self test(POST) but will have a message like MBR not found or one of many other errors. If you are getting an error than it is also a good idea to research the error to determine the proper fix. If the PC seems to boot correctly but there is no image on the screen than the issue may be a result of a bad video card. In that case the video card will need to be replaced.

I hope that information above has helped is some way.

My computer will turn on but will not boot up

I'm sure you have tried most of these steps but I'm going to list them any way so we have a complete picture of the trouble shooting process.

1 beep after starting the computer signifys that the power on self test (Also known as the POST) has completed with out issue. Based on the way you described the issue I would say that it is most likely the power supply that has gone bad. This issue is very common and for most computer a new power supply will only run you about $20-$30.

I hope that information above has helped is some way.

- do a bios update (or downgrade if needed) to see if it fixes the issue

- but probably the BIOS battery is not keeping the proper voltage anymore, and it automatically resets the BIOS (do the bios setting that u change, remain changed after unpluging/pluging the comp ?!). Try keeping the computer pluged in for a day and see if the battery charged properrly (if the set date remains )... if not ..change the battery.

- as for the self starting, there is a setting in the BIOS, that activates/dissables that ! - see u;re user manual ...

Problems with computer breaking down all the time

Since you are renting it, you have lost authority to fix it yourself or even having someone else do it. You should contact Radio Rentals and get a different one. Chances are, the computer should be formatted and a new operating system installed fresh. If Radio Rentals gives you permission to modify or install software, then there are many options to try for free so help repair any viruses and spyware. Avast Antivirus is good and free, Comodo Firewall is better than the Windows version and is free, Spybot Search And Destroy is free and helps with spyware. Remove programs that are no longer needed and defragment the hard drive. Use Eusing Free Registry Cleaner to keep the registry clean. The fun is about a computer to me is troubleshooting them. If you need any further assistance, please ask.
