Question about LG VX8300 Cellular Phone
What they probably said is that it is on the "Negative File", which means it is either lost, stolen, or tied to a charged off account (they didn't pay their bill).
The only thing that you can do is get a hold of the original owner and have them take the ESN off of the account (only works if you know them, Verizon won't give you the info). Which can only happen if it was lost or stolen and there was no insurance claim made on it.
