I had to take apart the mower, to weld the pedal back on, trouble putting the wiring back together, and the owners manual is horrible illustration. When you turn the key, you here a little click, but nothing else.

It could be a combination of things... it could be a loose earth lead from your ignitor pack or your timing could be out, check your key way that will be in the centre part of the magneto.. too see if its ok will need to remove the magneto to see the key way if its brocken it will not fire up and sometimes will back frie through carb if its bad enough, also check your gap between the ignitor pack and magneto should be around the .20 too .25mm by feeler guage...

Usually if all you hear is a clicking noise, it is the solenoid itself that has gone bad...if you can jump the solenoid and the mower turns over, it is the solenoid.

Check both battery terminal bolts for good, clean, tight connection. Also locate the fuse just behind the engine on the right side of the mower and see if it may have blown

Those boxes are probably relays. Sounds as tho one of your safety switches is not working correctly. Make sure you have the machines brake on, blade off, and any other safety measures are applied, such as the operator is sitting in the seat. Check the wiring connections at all the connections where the safety features are installed. Probably just a connection that is not letting the system know that all systems are indeed applied.

Check your seat, drive safety switches. Can you turn the engine with jumper cables attached to the starter? It won't start, but should turn over, one of your safety switches is not working.
