To me it sounds like you may have to uninstall the printer software then reinstall it make sure mark that printer as your default printer .

Blue Color On Copies

Check your settings for copying through your printer software. You might have accidentally messed up some copy settings there (Contrast, etc.)

Rollers do not have anything to do with this because your regular prints and copy prints are fed through the same roller.

Try removing your printer from Device Manager. Completely remove your printer software and reinstall all this stuff like you're installing a brand new printer. There is a 90% chance that your printer will be find after this.

Hope that helps.

Good luck!

You need to turn off "Print Separator Page" from printer setup/properties. This usually fixes it.

Instead of pressing the start button to print, you need to press the small ON/OFF button. The start button works to copy/scan. But to print, you will need to turn the printer on first. Once the printer is on, the computer should recognize it fine and allow you to print from your applications.

Hp scanjet will not copy to print

FROM HP, searched and found after three or four weeks of unresolved solutions .. and that's fixed the problem !!

Solution Follow the steps below:
  1. Click Start , then Printers and Faxes .
  2. Right-click the system default printer and click Properties .
  3. On the General tab, right-click the default printer and click Copy .
  4. Click Cancel to exit.
  5. Click Start and then click Run .
  6. In the Run dialog box, type regedit and click OK . WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Hewlett-Packard cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of the Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the Registry before you edit it. For information about how to edit the Registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" help topics in Regedit32.exe.
  7. In the Registry Editor window, click Edit , then click Find... , and search for the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hewlett-Packard\DigitalImaging\hpfccopy .
  8. Double-click Printer in the right pane.
  9. In the Edit String window, paste the printer name as it appears in the Registry under Value data (for example, hp photosmart 8400 series) .
  10. Click OK and close the Registry Editor.
  11. Press Copy on the scanner. The default printer connected to the system should normally print the scanned document.
Cause This issue occurs when the default printer or the list of printers is not recognized on the hpfccopy function in the Current User section of the Registry.

Printer will not print- blank returns

make sure carts are placed well and secured.

press menu then start bk copy then four times arrow-up (tel. index). machine switches to maintenance mode. press 7 then 6 then 4 then start bk copy. machine will refresh ink in tubes and ph and do some cleaning. after that press 7 then 6 then 3 then start bk copy. machine will do a power purge. after that leave mode by pressing 9 then 9. Run a quality test print by pressing ink etc.
If you still cant see any colors the ph has dryed out. If you see some blocks try a manual cleaning (pressing ink shift to cleaning etc.). If the next test print out still is bad the ph is clogged due to generic ink and cant be cleaned anymore. In both way ph needs replacement.
