Hello,
have you tried cleaning the gold points on the cartridge heads and cartridge slots. Use a proper claning solution and non scented baby wipes or q tips (cotton buds) are good cleaning items. This may restore error 1203. You can also reset it by unpluging it after turning it off. Unplug all cords after waiting a moment replug all an turn on. Try and print now. Post back if no good
Cheers,

What is Error #1203 on the Lexmark X4270 fax machine mean? and how do I solve it?

Hi there

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.
