This sounds like Spyware. Download Free Spybot from cnet.com click on download tab and put in search Spybot and download free version. Also download Adaware at Lavasoft.com this is also free. run one then the other. Hope this helps.

Then try CWShredder from trendmicro.com. Its a browser hijacker remover. You can also try CCleaner.com. This is good for repairing Active X issues as well.

Hi I am running I E 8 proveded by Amazon, how do I get out of it and only I E 8 by Microsoft

The provided by section on the software has nothing to do with the software.
That is a fully customizable string of text. Be assured, your internet explorer is provided by microsoft, the text you see is a small way to advertise for amazon.

If you are uncomfortable with this, you can change the text by going through these steps provided by the microsoft knowledge base.

if this helps, give me a good rating! Thanks!

How to fix That problem

Click On Start --> Control Panel --> Add Or Remove Programs --> Make Sure That The Show Updates Box On Top Of The Window Is Checked --> Find WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 8 --> Click On Remove In Front Of It.

WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 8 would be removed and will ask u to restart your system so kindly do that...

After The System Restarts, Follow These steps To Check Whether It Has Removed Windows Internet Explorer 7 as well and if it has you would not see WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 7.

As Internet Explorer 6 Is Integral Part Of Windows XP You Won't See It In Control Panel.

If WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 7 is removed then click the link below and download and install WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 7..

Click Here To Download Internet Explorer 7

In Case You Wish To Download Any Other Version Of Internet Explorer Then See Right Hand Side In The Green Pane And Click any Version Which you Want And Download And Install It From The Same Link As Given Above...
