How can I active USB Port and Speaker port on the Keyboard Model KL-7mu after installing its driver? (All of Hot Keys work) Thank you in advance

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers


if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem


check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts


if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

I cannot find out how to activate the sound on my laptop. thanks for your help


There can be several ways to enable/disable audio on a computer.

The sound may be muted within the operating system.
In Windows XP:
Click Start -> Control Panel(or Settings -> Control Panel).
Click Switch to Classic View in the top-left corner.
Open Sounds and Audio Devices.
Verify the volume and verify Mute is NOT checked.
Click the Audio tab.
Verify there is a Default Device.
Click the Volume button and make sure nothing is Muted.

If everything there checks out OK then check the Device Manager.
In Windows XP:
Click Start -> Run
Type devmgmt.msc -> click OK
Verify there are no yellow exclamation or red x icons anywhere. Specifically in the Sound, video and game controllers section.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand,system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable)

Problem with sound


HI.... First you need to check the audio propertities. Go to Start->Right click on My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager->Under sound,video tab check if anything is disabled or if it is showing an yeloow sign... then you need to install the audio drivers again from motherboard CD....
Go to Control Panel and check the Sound and Audio device properties, if it is muted then adjust it properly.... If need some more help plz contact..
