SOURCE: 2006 crf100 no spark

You have 2 basic possibilities,

  • A kill switch is active
  • The ignition control module has gone bad
The stock spark plug is an NGK CR7HSA. Is a kill switch on? Does the side stand have a kill switch? Is it working properly? Check the operation of all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter.

Check the wiring harness. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires? If still no spark, get CDI system checked at the dealers shop.

SOURCE: still no spark to plugs even after replacing coils.

Either your pulse generator does not give right pulses to the ECU or your ECU need replacement.Find the wires that travel from the pulse gen to the ECU to check them for pulse.

Motorbike wont move

sidestand lockout switch is sticking...bike thinks that you're trying to ride away with the stand down so it kills the sparks.

No spark on a 1995 polaris xlt 600

Could be a bad cdi box. Ive this problem with my xlt when I go for a ride, stop to eat and head back out to go home it won't start. I've usually had to choke it, and pull until it starts. My issue is carb settings. If you don't have spark I'd try replacing your cdi. If you know someone with the same sled try there's.

I have a 2000 suzuki quad lt-a500 dealer cleaned carb now it don't idle and pops out exhaust ran good for 2 weeks think i should change the spark plug?

check the diaphram in the top of the carburetor.
they may have overlooked a small hole in it.

if that's not the case then i would certainly take a look at the carb myself.

the carb may have been cleaned out but still got a little more trash in it from the tank once it was reinstalled.

also drain the tank see if there is water or trash in it.

also check the airbox and the airbox intake boot for water or trash.

it's possible that you have a worn valve stem seal, but normally those only worsen as you ride them more, and you would notice smoke from the exhaust due to oil burning.

also check the intake boot for cracks. ( the one in front of the carburetor
and you could change the spark plug it wont hurt hope this helps John

try a new spark plug. if u fowl out a plug some time they will not fire under compression.2 strokes need. fuel, fire and air, very simple engines.it is possible crank seal are bad .that doesn't allow the engine to create vacuum in the crank case.thus fuel and air will not make it to combustion chamber.

Don't use cold start.it will not solve your problem.Try running it with out the air cleaners ,it may be that you have an air intake problem and not getting the right Air / fuel mixture .

for any motorcycle to run you need three things. spark, fuel and compression. i see you've tried to get fuel and spark. if you have spark thats one down. dont pour fuel into cylinder. instead spray tiny bit of brakeclean or carb clean into spark plug hole. i have a feeling if you drained your gas after the carb clean the carb most likely sucked bad gas back up and might need cleaned again. ive seen it happen alot on ols bikes.

I have a 1999 honda cr 250 and it wont start it will start for a second every about 10 kicks and then stop again... help me

You will have to perform some basic checks like tht of sparks reaching the spark plugs and tht the fuel too enters the combustion chamber, wth your explanation it seems fuel is not entering correctly into the combustion chamber... you will have to clean the carb/s.
