Re: clean glue off the screen of the LG VU
Try using a little white spirit to loosen the glue then use a soft cotton cloth with a little soap to remove the residue and wipe clean with a warm soft wet (wrung out), cotton cloth followed by a dry soft cotton cloth.

Really your only option is to get a different phone. Since there is water damage it voids your warranty so you would have to turn to insurance. If you don't have insurance you may be able to do an upgrade or you would have to buy one outright. If you can't do that than you can get a prepaid phone and put you sim in that and it will work.
Some phones are just plain better than others in both reception and transmission. I wouldn't think it is interference since another phone works within the house and on the same network. You might want to look into a home cell phone signal booster (googling that will result in a lot of retailers), but these are by no means cheap. However, they can make a huge difference in quality of service within a structure.
caring for the touch screen includes touching the screen with clean and DRY hands., if your phone fell in the water, it will likely damage the touch screen.. contact your nearest LG repair center.. i hope your phone will soon be fine..
I had this same problem. The best thing to try first for a free fix is getting a razor blade and starting to peel each layer off 1 by 1 start using a edge of a razor blade in one of the corners to do this and peel them off. I got through like 2 layers one all clear one clear w black outline b4 i got to one that looks like a throw back atari with a gold outline and 4 gold rectangles at the top. I think this might be some kind of contact strip though because the layer underneath has 4 gold rectangles also. i noticed that glue or something had spread from between these two layers onto the screen. I could even seen that i had anything on my screen other than a little rainbow discoloration with the other 2 layers of film on. I used light windex, water, and a lint free towel to clean off all the **** that was on the 2 surfaces but only peel pack top layer on 3 sides like a book and leave the sticky substance on outter edge so you can press the top layer back down i think I wiped too much glue on outter edge off bc it was working fine, then i had to get it really clean and now it senses when i touch but needs to be calibrated, but cant access through menu so Im looking for a button sequence to boot it. will update progress tomorrow
touch the thing with 4 dots at the bottom of the opening screen then tap the thing on the right that looks like a flower tap on the plus sign that says more.tap on security, there will be a coice that says auto screen lock.tap on that u will get choices of 15,30,45 seconds or one minute or OFF. tap the off choice and it disables the locking screen
I found a new touch screen replacement on Ebay for less than $20. Use the search criteria of Touch Screen Digitizer for LG VU. Then, use the link below to walk you through the replacement steps. I had no problems at all. Just make sure you snap the cable securely in place (near the last step).
The replacement part I purchased from Ebay already had the adhesive backing so I didn't need any extra glue. Be sure to carefully review the seller ratings and the product description. Avoid buying from sellers with poor grammar or no tools provided. Look for NEW products and ratings of 99% or higher for a reputable seller.
