You must have the reduction mode on in the fax section. This allows incoming faxes that are larger than the size paper you have available to be printed. You may have you paper set in a direction or size paper that is not the same as the fax being sent.

I have a Laser Class 710 and the error light keeps blinking. There is a message that says "incorrect paper size received in memory". How do I get rid of this?

Someone has probably sent you a fax on 8 1/2 x 14 inch (legal size) paper. Pull down the manual hand feed tray which is located above the regular paper cassettes and place some legal size paper in it. Hopefully the fax will be outputted and the message will go away. Good luck.

How do I fax I have put the documents in the tray now what do I d

There's two way to fax, 1. you can lay the documents to be sent/faxed on the flatbed (scanning sheet bed) and fax it after selecting the Fax option from the menu and dial the receiver's number. 2. If in case your documents is larger than the flatbed, you can put it on the sheetfed tray, and follow the same procedures to send the fax, it'll automatically pull the document as it copies the files to the temporary memory. But in this case, you'll need to resize the document size, suppose if your scanner bed supports A4 and you are faxing Legal Size paper, reduce the size of the paper to fit on A4, (approx 10% will do). Good luck.

I HAVE A PANASONIC WORKIO 8020, IT SAYS BYPASS A4- HOW DO I FIX THIS?

The computer has sent a A4 size document to the printer and the printer is asking you to put a A4 size piece of paper in the bypass tray so it can print it. It may be an email A4 size that someone has sent you or check the settings in Microsoft Word print or page setup to see if it is set for Letter size, not A4 size.

My HP 6100 series all in one wants to align cartridge

This document explains the different results obtained when using or not using the Automatic Reduction (or Auto Reduction) Feature. The following issues usually result when the Automatic Reduction feature is not set correctly:
  • Faxes printing too small
  • Faxes printing on more than one page
  • A blank page ejecting between each printed fax page
This feature can be turned ON (the default) or OFF from the Advanced Fax Features menu. The two main purposes of the Auto Reduction feature
  • Fits a received fax page onto the paper size loaded in the paper tray and selected in the paper size setting of the Basic Fax Setup. For example; if letter size paper is loaded in the paper tray and selected in the fax settings and a legal size document is received, each page will be reduced and printed on one letter sized paper.
  • Allows the addition of the fax header margin at the top of every printed fax without extending the fax onto another page. The fax header is printed at the top of every fax received with identifying information about the fax sender. Since this increases the overall page length, the page must be reduced to fit onto one page. Auto reduction slightly shrinks the fax as it is received so the entire page will print on one piece of paper even though a top margin is allowed for the fax header.

Sending and receiving fax on legal size paper on

What's the question? You can send a fax on legal size exactly as you do with lettersize. As for printing, you only have 1 size of paper available at a time (1 paper source) , so put legal in it if you want.

If you see this message on the front panel of the HP PSC 2210 when you are receiving a fax, check that the paper size is set to match the paper size in the paper tray. (You cannot receive a fax on 4 x 6 paper or on an envelope.) Checking the paper size setting
  1. Press Setup .
  2. Press the right arrow until you see 3: Basic Fax Setup .
  3. Press Enter .
  4. Press the right arrow until you see 4: Paper Size .
  5. Press Enter .
  6. Press the right arrow until you see the paper size that matches the size of the paper in the paper tray.
  7. Press Enter .
